Fisher Paykel DD603i leaves a liter clear water in bottom drawer after cycle (and even some after top drawer cycle). I suspect non-return flap valve to drain hose in bottom unit is not doing its job.

Filters are clean, passage from shoe to sump is clean, and rotors work okay when I switch out upper and lower. So, other tests I can to to figure out if it's the flap valve, where do I get one, and (gulp) how to replace?

If you mean water remains in the bottom of the machine, look to see that the waste water pipe has a fall in it all the way to the discharge point, otherwise water can run back into the machine after it finishes pumping out.

The dishwasher while running began to beep constantly and then BOTH drawers began to beep with blue lights and read F1 with the small picture of a wrench. It will not turn off but keeps beeping with flashing lights.

SOURCE: fisher & paykel 2 drawer unit

yes there is. It is just inside the white hoses that drain the system. 1 per drawer. They cost about $0.50 but are a real pain to get to. This flap will go bad in about 3-5 years and maybe sooner depending on the temp of the water used.

If the bottom flap goes bad, using the top drawer will drain into the bottom drawer.

SOURCE: Fisher and Paykel dishdrawer, lid not retracting, no power.

By no power you may be implying there is no display etc and the swithces are not working. Most likely the controller of the top drawer has had it. The controller is mounted on the front of the drawer behind the door panel. Hope things are better than that.

How do I relace the drain flapper valve (528625P) on the bottom of the upper drawer in my Fisher Paykel 603?

9.9.1 Remove the drawer front
9.9.2 With the tub opened release the tub clips and push back the
drawer rails.
9.9.3 Carefully release the four wiring cover clips from the front
lower section of the tub taking care not to damage them.
9.9.4 Release the three clips on the underside of the tub which
retain the wiring cover.
9.9.5 Pull the tub fully open and lift it up at the front (this makes it
easier to remove the wiring cover from the rear of the tub).
9.9.6 The wiring cover may now be carefully moved forward to
release it from the rear of the tub.
controller.
.
9.10.6 Unclip the drain hose cuff from the motor assembly taking care not to misplace the non-return flap valve so you know where it sits.
Replace flap valve and refit in reverse order.

Not sure why you need to take the top drawer out if you have already got the bottom drawer out and only need to replace the valve in bottom drawer.

F2 code on Fisher Paykel dishwasher

The problem is linked to rotor operation during discharge cycle. By replacing the rotor with bottom will only address part of the problem. There is very likely some obstruction in the pump cavity. This is the small channel connecting the drain sump and the pump cavity. Grab a thin but rigid wire and clear this channel. Usually a bone chip or some seed.
Also confirm if the top rotor worked ok when you moved it to the bottom drawer.

My Fisher Paykel DD603I top draw whines when it is first turned

The lid seal on the top drawer is faulty and needs replacement. It might be cut or damaged and is obstructing the drawer from closing. THis also may have caused the flood switch to trip as water can leak if drawer is not sealed.

How to get bottom drawer out of fisher paykel dd6031

I wasn't able to find an exact match to your reported model (DD603I?), but all of the DD60xx models appear to have the same drawer removal process:

2_23_2012_6_18_56_am.jpgI actually took this from the installation guide for the KitchenAid dishdrawer (also made by F&P), since it had the clearest images.

Appliance: Fisher&Paykel DD603 Draining

You may want to check up if the water collects in the bottom drawer when the top drawer is in wash cycle (ie, taking water from the inlet) or during the drain cycle when it is draining water out. Leave the bottom drawer open and check while the top drawer is running.

I am having problems with the bottom drawer not draining in my Fisher Paykel dishwasher. How do I drain the water? the last time a repair man came for this same problem, he was able to punch the keys in a...

You can do 2 things: If this problem persists it means that the "flap" that prevents the water from draining into the drawer needs to be replaced, unfortunately this is a common problem with this model if you are a frequent user. In the meantime what the tech does to empty the drawer is to run the shortest cycle which will empty drawer but you know if you need the "flap" to be replaced if the problem persists.

Water not draining from drawer

Could be the little non return valve mounted underneath the top drawer. Lie down on the floor under the top drawer, remove the main plastic pannel covering the bottom to expose the black drainage hose (you may need to cut away a cable tie). Remove the drainage hose from bottom of the drawer - at the start of the drainage hose there will be a small rubber type flap - if it looks broken or worn out, it will need replacing - call F & P for a replacement, approx $5 + postage for a pair (one for the top drawer and one for the bottom)
Hope this helps
