There is a "flame" sensor adjacent to the burner. It looks like a little short rod. When the flame touches the little rod it senses that the burner is, in fact, producing fire and is not releasing unburned gas. The sensor will sometimes get corrosion and not sense the flame, which turns the gas off. This is an easy fix and doesn't require any parts. Take a small piece of 320 grit sandpaper and scrub the sensor rod to remove the oxidation (corrosion) until it is again bright shiny. The flame will then stay on.

Hi .No The Solenoids Are Turning The Gas On . I would Check The Venting . Remove The Venting Clean All Venting. Thanks The Appliance Doc
SOURCE: my kenmore gas dryer ignites and the flame shuts off after 10 sec
The valve on the pilot may need to be replaced. The springs get worn and wont stay up. Otherwise you could replace the entire pilot unit with a kit.

flame sensor rod is probably not bad but just has a soot build up on it. take some steel wool or I use a soft brass brush and make the rod shine. DO NOT USE ANYTHING COARSE, if you scratch the rod it will rust, then it is bad
You have a bad flame sensor. Replace it.

if you have replaced the flame sensor and it will not stay lit, the draft safety switch may be opening. It works on positive and negative pressure created by the inducer fan motor. You may have a restriction in your heat exchanger or if is a high efficiency furnace, it may not have the drain tube installed properly with a trap. The trap works just like the trap under your sink and if water isnt in the trap, the pressures can be effected enough to open the draft switch(some call it an air pressure switch)
