I have a Escort 2000 Peavey P A System. The fan is making a noise when I switch it on, but as soon as it ''heats up'', the noise stops. Is it because of the cold weather or is the fan giving notice?

It might be giving notice, it might have some loose screws, but then again, it might just need some oiling.

There's probably a sticker on the rear side of the fan (where the power wires come out), remove it, underneath you'll see an aluminium cover near the center. Take this cover off with a pointed knife or similar, it should come off with just a slight force and you should now see the axis fixed in place by a clamp.

You just need to put a drop or so of oil, just make sure it reaches underneath the clamp into the bearing/bushing and if the bearing/bushing was just a bit dry or dirty and if it's not really damaged then the fan shoud now run quietly.

Put the aluminium cover and the sticker back in place, try it out, if it's silent, you win, if it's still giving notice then it should most probably be replaced.

sounds like an internal connection problem. open access panel and check the solder connection is not broken or loose. Be sure the metal mesh jacket is not touching the lead wire as that would cause a scratchy noise and feedback, or maybe near the internal cable causing feedback

The green light flashes with no fan noise at all or any sound

You have a bad power circuit board. if you are tech-inclined,you can open the mixer's rear cover and check for bulging/leaking capacitors on the board. they will need to be replaced. Or just order a new PCB from Peavey. Rodger, in tech support, will be happy to help.

It sounds like the power supply is overheating, or an interconnect is becoming loose due to excess heat. This might be due to a faulty heat sensor, but counter-intuitively could also be due to a low voltage supply, that is, drawing more power than the circuit can handle so the voltage drops. Please check that the outlet(s) you are plugging in to are rated to supply enough power.

My peavey escort 2000 system starts up works and runs for about 10 to 15 minutes then shuts down and and green light flashes system restarts then shuts down continuously

If after you shut it down and after a while turn it on again and it works the same way. It sounds like a heat problem. We here at Pro Line Music are a Peavey service center. If you can not get any local help you can send it to us.

The fan is making a noise when I switch the system on, but as soon as it heats up the noise stop. Is the fan on it's way out?

As it heats up it is heating the lubricant in the fan bearings which dries out and hardens over time. You can take the fan apart and clean the blades and relube the bearings but it is not easy. It may be easier to just replace it .
