I need a user manual for my very old Ariston FM81R AUS. I have just moved into a rental property and most of the symbols have worn away on the controls

I have not found a manual to download for your model of Ariston oven. The Ariston website does have manuals which can be downloaded, but your older model is not listed:

Hi we are in the same situation and phoned the NZ office that deal with Ariston and they stated that is costs $136 to replace the facia panel. She stated she would send me a manual a week ago and still nothing. She stated that there are no Ariston facias in Nz and they don't know when they are coming or if they are going to be coming in. Would definately not buy an ariston oven.
Good luck to anyone else in the same position, I wish I knew what each dial was for on mine.

We are about to move into a house with a Ariston wall oven, model no: FB 86 C. All the symbols around the 2 knobs have been rubbed off, is there a transfer or someway of finding what the symbols should...

This is a normal feature for this brand. The decal comes off when cleaning with anything other than pure water. They will sell you a whole new oven front for about $100 so you can do it again next time you wipe down the front panel when cleaning your work top. Please complain to Ariston head office and tell them what you think of their product. The manual doesn't show the detail so I guess you will have to buy either a proper oven or get ripped off by Ariston for a new panel ( you could always send the new panel back after copying the letters). I'll never buy an Ariston product again.

Marking have worn off on front cover of ariston FM 22 M IX - oven

Try using ovenlettering.co.uk - I recently had same problem the symbols are easy to apply and look great. A brand new oven in minutes, speak to Mark - he can guide you through the process - very helpful

I have just bought a GE double oven JK5500 27 inch. It starts at a temp of 35 and takes nearly 5 hrs to get to 154 and remains there. It stays on pre bake or pre roast the whole time. Elements won’t glow red. What could be the problem?
