Blue problem trying to figure out what the problem with my tv is? the blue is the only color out of focus and wont get into focus on perfect focus or manualy focus. The blue is off centered to the right about 4 inches and making hard to watch tv. Please help manufactured in 10/2002

Do adjustments on focus block. Will have to open front panel access door, focus block blue will be on left, green will be on top. Top screen bottom focus. Turn clockwise to increase, counter clockwise to decrease brightness. Turn the color all the way down on menu where it's pure black and white and make adjustments for perfect black and white picture, then when you adjust color, it will be perfect.

try to change the crt base socket of blue gun and then try. i will suggest if you replace the base socket change all the three at the same time.

hello What you have is a convergence problem. There is 2 modules inside your set that aligns the colors to have the same geometry and superposed . It is a common problem in rear projection tvs ,
You don`t have to worry about your blue tube , i`m sure it is perfectly fine, it just needs to be aligned through the convergence circuit.
Most often the problem is with those convergence modules that are faulty and need to be replaced.

This is a common problem. Its called a convergence failure.

Problem #1) Convergence

Symptoms:

• Screen Looks 3D
• Colors wont align
• Video may look distorted

Problem #2 CRT Fluid has clouded over. Symtoms

• Dull looking video
• White looking video
• Halos around objects
• Red/Orange looking video

Replace the convergence Ic's with a kit that is available through your local parts distributor

You must replace all resistors in the kit
If you are not good at soldering and de- soldering have a local tv shop do it for you

you need to have both convergence ics replaced STK392-040 (2).resistors 3.9 ohms they will be open.

you need to replace the convergence board.

same here, fuzzy blue when trying perfect focus, all other colors are sharp. I have the 2 STK392-040 package

Did you try the manual lense focus in the back? There is a wing nut on it and it's pretty easy to change. You just need someone to look at the TV and tell you when it looks good. Additionally for the Blue tube, it's on the far left. You take off the bottom panel in the back to get to this area. Good Luck.
