I have a new Dell computer using Windows 7 andd have installed software Camedia Master 4.1 for my C-740 camera. The master page can be accessed but when I try to download photos from camera using the USB...

Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use Windows Photo Gallery or any other photo cataloging program.

CAMEDIA MASTER 4.0 is Unable to detect an Olympus digital camera with USB connection

You did not mention which OS you are using... However, there is an update to
Camedia Master 4.2 which you could download, install and test.

Alternatively you could install and check the free and newer Olympus Viewer software...

Connecting cam with laptop

The largest memory card that camera can support is a 128mb smartmedia card. They do not make any cards larger than that size.

I need the Windows Vista driver for the Olympus Camedia D-360L

The camera is a serial connect camera and what we recommend for Vista users as well as our new software is to look into purchasing a smartmedia card reader that connects to USB port so that you are able to transfer images using the reader as opposed to connecting camera to PC. The camera connection is not Vista compliant.

C-150 OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

By connecting the camera to a computer with the provided USB cable,
images on a card can be transferred to the computer. Some OS's (operating
systems) may need a special setup when connecting to the camera for the
first time. Follow the chart below. For details on the procedures in the chart,
refer to the “Reference Manual” on the CD-ROM and the “Software
Installation Guide” (included in the CD-ROM package).
Identifying the OS
Windows 98/98 SE
(Second Edition)
Windows 2000
Professional/Me/XP
Mac OS 9.0 - 9.1/OS X
*OS 8.6: See below.

Connecting the camera to a computer using the provided USB cable
Installing the USB
driver for Windows 98
Confirming the computer recognizes the camera
Downloading image files
Disconnecting the USB cable

Even if your computer has a USB connector, data transfer may not function correctly if
you are using one of the operating systems listed below or if you have an add-on USB
connector (extension card, etc.).
● Windows 95/NT 4.0
● Windows 98/98 SE upgrade from Windows 95
● Mac OS 8.6 or lower (except Mac OS 8.6 equipped with USB MASS Storage support
1.3.5 installed at the factory)
● Data transfer is not guaranteed on a home-built PC system or PCs with no factory
installed OS.
You can view images using: graphics applications that support the JPEG
file format (Paint Shop Pro, Photoshop, etc.); Internet browsers (Netscape
Communicator, Microsoft Internet Explorer, etc.); CAMEDIA Master
software; or other software. For details on using commercial graphics
applications, refer to their instruction manuals.

IS CAMEDIA Master4.1 compatable with windows vista?

Try Installing Master 2 (This is not called Camedia Master). This is a free download from Olympus. I had troubles with camedia for vista, but I found master 2. I have found that it works on all olympus models made after 2004, but other claims that it didnt. My camera is 2003, but still worked fine.

Camedia software leaves a lot to be desired. I prefer to use a USB media reader and Google's excellent Picasa software to manage my photos.
