Hello there, you are a good age at 71. Now I'm 88 and have both a Microsoft Surface Pro 4 tablet and a Desktop PC, and both with Windows 10. Now in Windows 10 there is a program called One Note and I record daily, all my activities for the day and in that way I have a record for me in case, I should at some later date want to know something, or in your case, how can I do that task. It is an a amazing program as you don't have to save it as it automatically saved. So for people that age, and you and me are one of them, we forget sometimes quite simple tasks, but with One Note you will always have it there, to refer to at a later date. Now coming back to Microsoft's Surface Pro 4 Tablet, coming with that Tablet is a Microsoft security program called "Hello." Once set-up all your tablet needs is your face to look directly at the Tablet and your facial features will be recognised by the security software and your Tablet will open with Windows 10 on your screen. Easy Peasy!! to say the least. In conclusion, there is nothing on the market that is better than the Microsoft's Surface Tablets. I have had them foe years and no trouble ever. So, hope this can be a little helpful.

warranty rarely covers screen damage unless you pay extra for it. It is possible they will replace it but "my dog ate it" is going to get you a definite NO. Check with Walmart- you never know- but based on what they pay their employees a helpful customer service experience is probably NOT in your future visit...

my 8 year old did the same thing. I let a friend take it and she used her computer to unlock it. I don't know how she did it but its working again. I will find out and get back to ya.

It needs a new battery.

Charge it using the mini usb port!

1. Turn your tablet off.
2. Hold volume up and power button at the same time.
3. Wait until the android dog screen pop up and then the android upside down with a triangle in it will come up the you hit reboot with your volume up or down button and press power for ok.
