Hi I just bought 7 NEC Multisync LCD1550v monitors and they all have the same problem. when plugged in all i get is a blinking power light. 1 of them showed signs of life for just a second but that was it. Can anyone tell me what this may be and how I might fix it? I know its not a computer issue. Thanks

In response to an attempt at helping (which I am grateful for) no there is no problem with my video card or bios or anything at all with the tower. This I know for a few reasons #1 I hooked the monitors to computers which had a monitor which I detached to check the ones I bought #2 I tried each monitor on all 4 of my previously and currently working computers with the same result with them all. Thank you for your attempt at helping though.

You buy a new LCD Monitors, now still not working., if that new LCD Monitor is OK, then check your VGA Card, its inside the CPU maybe its broke or not connect properly inside. This are the cause of not displaying in your LCD Monitors.
If you here some beeps of your CPU then find out how many beeps and tell us here immediately.

I understand, so the new LCD Monitors is not response or anything that is being attached to the computer. Here's some reason why its not display. #1 its has a light blinking on but no display, the problem you have a Primary Supply is OK but there is a Secondary Supply on to your LCD Monitors which is part on LCD Circuit Board. #2 Second thought, failure to Display with blinks is very rear to happen that LCD Monitors is the problem. #3 Conclusion, now the monitor is defective due to Secondary Output Current which is give appropriate wattage to display your LCD Monitor. #4 check that on your nearest Computer Center or Comp. Technician you have.
Hope this might help you. Good luck!

OK, you should prepare a Multi-Tester to test all the circuits on the LCD Monitor, if you do have this device test it and read only necessary parts inside. Turning Off & unplug LCD Monitor is necessary. Check and Read any Regulators & Resistors if there is a defective & good signal to give display on LCD Monitor. Patient of time is needed when your doing on this., but I tell you necessary to fix it with an Electronic or Computer Tech expert. Good luck!

NEC MultiSync LCD1765 won't power on

Look for bad caps with bulging top in the power supply first, post back what you see inside so we can guide you further, see example of failed monitors due to bad caps (after about 2 years): http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums

No picture and ligh just plinks

kathleen2002, If no picture, then do flashlight test! Six words and no punctuation will not garner much help on fixya here darlin. Tell us more. We need to know how old the unit is and or number of hours use. Did unit work perfectly the day before? Does this monitor get power from a "black lay on floor brick" or does it power up direct from wall outlet? When it worked last, did it have a bright, crisp image displayed on the LCD panel? If you are not a technician familiar with LC display technology you will NOT be able to repair it. As a consumer/user, your options are very limited. 1. NEC warranty if covered. 2. Cash+old monitor swapout with NEC for a refurbished 1550V w/new CCFT/inverter/SMPS. 3. Local Technician to refurbish your unit with new cold-cathode-fluorescent-tubes+Inverter supply repair if required and test unit's switch-mode-power-supply. 4. OR just trade up to a new and younger model. Bye for now. louie12fix on fixya or lmistyrel @aol.com

My monitors light is blinking all the time n no pic Nec Multisync FP1355

there is a setting you can access from the monitor menu button. make sure that the monitor is set for the cable you have running to it.

If you are using DVI use the digital setting.

Anything else, use the analogue.

NEC MultiSync FE2111SB 22in monitor problem

a blinking green light usually indicates no video signal. check your cables, and if you have another computer, try it on that. otherwise, carefully check your vga signal cable, and the connections on the neck board [where the crt plugs into]

Nec multisync 2080 monitor

You don't really need to replace the power supply, you can repair it by replacing the bad capacitors. I've done it to 2 Nec monitors and it works. However I do not believe its you power supply because you are getting the power on light.

NEC P1250+ hisses and scrren blips intermittently

I had the same problem. Your monitor is warning you of failure. The hissing sound is the picture tube powering up. The momentary blank screen is when the power supply for the monitor has become hot. Your monitor is getting ready to quit. My suggestion is to buy a new monitor. To have a tech repair it would be more expensive then buying a new one.
