l need help lexco LGT 9977L touch calibration
Hi,
I'm having similar issue with low speed error, but my belt don't turn at all. I've tried 2 different sensors and no luck. Is there anything else to change/replace it?
Today I managed to fix the L5/LS ("Low Speed") error that showed up on my Spirit Z700 treadmill which we bought about 10 years ago. Problem was that the treadmill would start OK, tape would start rolling, but then it would stop after a few seconds. Both from this forum and also from the troubleshooting section of owner's manual I understood that the problem was with the speed sensor under the motor cover. Called the local SpiritFitness retail shop, and all I got was "do not bother as it is not worth fixing a 10-year old treadmill, too expensive (like $300-400) and also problematic due to parts availability...you should plan on taking it to the dump or getting a new one, in which case we'd take it away and dispose it". Well, I did not give up and insteas called the tech support line for Spirit Fitness. A very helpful, patient and knowledgeable guy answered, after a long time being on hold, and guided me through various steps: first, trying re-calibration; then, since that did not work, trying to get to the sensor and reposition it as close as possible to the roller (on the left side, in the front); third, do the re-calibration. Well, it worked!
Using https://www.google.com, I saw a possible repair method shown for similar treadmills:

Low Speed Error on Treadmill
When do you get the message? In the middle of a workout or right when you start he machine? Does the belt move at all before you get the message?
LS Computer doesn't read the single 8 seconds from the speed sensor The gap between speed sensor & magnet is too far. Adjust it to be within 5mm.
Clean and vacuum inside unit and around senor, check connector is solid and no fray or rubbing on wires.
If the sensor is damaged and caused short circuit. Replace a new speed sensor cable.
