Popcorn doesn't cook in my new combi oven. I'm on 1000W but the bag only half inflates after 3+ mins. Is it faulty or do I need to put the bag of popcorn on a plate? Has anyone else had this problem?

Popcorn needs a certain amount of moisture in it to 'pop'. 1000 watts of microwave should work fine. Make your popcorn, put it in a bowl and eat the popped corn. Put the un-popped kernels in a pan with a little oil and see if they will pop. My theory is that the bag or the corn is old.

Make and model are always useful in such questions, then we can check specs.

I have a few questions, we have a convection microwave in our motor home. Is there special cookware I should use? How do you figure out cook times when baking in it?
if only using on convection it is like any other oven so either metal or corning ware, if using with microwave it must be a microwave safe material like corning ware, which is also good for heat.

Our LG over the stove microwave oven LMHM2017ST is powerless.
A thermal protector on the magnetron may have opened. Normally, these reset within a few minutes. If you've had the oven off for more than an hour, and it's still lifeless, then you may have a bad connection somewhere. A defective magnetron will not cause an oven to be dead if the main fuse has been replaced - at least not immediately.

Depends on your microwave and the popcorn. Your owner's manual will have instructions. The first couple times, it will probably be by trial and error.

BTW--the best way to get rid of stinky burned popcorn smell from a microwave is to microwave a small amount (1/4 cup) vinegar until boiling and let it set in the microwave for a while.

I need instructions for 10in. microwave browner
Only place I've found is here: CorningWare Browner Instructions

As these dishes were designed by Corning for a 650 watt over, you can recalculate preheat and cooking times for your oven with the following formula:

650/(your oven's wattage) x (listed preheat time or cook time)

For example, for a Corning MW-9 dish, they list 4 minutes maximum preheat time. I have a 1,580 watt oven. So 650/1580 = .41 x 4 minutes = 1.64 minutes and about a minute and a half preheat. (MAX).

How long do you pressure cook corn packed in cold jars?
I hope your not doing this in a microwave. It will cook the corn too much. A double boiler or water bath works good.

Basically you are trying to get the food above about 140°F. This is enough to kill off the bacteria. Then when you put the lid on the jar cools and forms a vacuum seal. I just use a digital thermometer and measure the temp to make sure. My mom used to use a timer but then you never were 100% sure it got hot enough to sterilize the food.

Now if you can actually use a microwave for doing this then I've learned something today ;-] I'd still go by the temperature but that would be faster if it works as well as the traditional ways.

Yes, but if this is not fixed, it may flake off and get in your food, or allow grease or food particles to build up on the surface.

 

The loose paint should really be sanded off, at least.

 

Then when it's clean and dry, you can apply a little high-temperature appliance paint, available from department stores, home improvement centers, and appliance parts stores.

I have a KEB F4 INVERTER with an E. OL Error. I have had the inverter serviced and tested and all is good. Some parts were replaced Is there a method of re attaching the inverter to the cnc machine ? Or do you just plug it in and start the machine? I can run the machine up to about 130rpm, but anything greater the machine goes to 100% load and eventually shuts down.
