I just bought a new grundig 55" VLF 7710 bp. The problem is my satellite box cable is not compatible with the TV. My receiver is a smart enigma x5 . I think the cable for TV has to be hdmi, but the box doesn't have a port for hdmi. Does anyone know where I can get a cable for this .

If the box does not have a HDMI port, which type of port does it have?
There are photos online of all the different ports.

There are converters of every different alternative
HDMI to DVI
HDMI to Micro D
For example

Less than 10 dollars

Don't waste your money on foolish "gold plated"

Identify the type of port it has if it is not HDMI
Order the converter from eBay if you are not near
a store that carries different converters

SOURCE: HDMI f/ dvd, dvr, receiver and tv

best set up if you have all hdmi is to have all your components go into the receiver ie. hd cable box, dvd etc. by using the hdmi output from the player(s) to the hdmi input to the receiver. next use one hdmi cable from the receiver to the tv then your laughing.

SOURCE: says no signal when switched to hdmi when there is one.

Have the same problem with a 532H - but here is what I did to resolve the issue:
1) Click your Menu button on the TV remote.
2) Go to Screen (click the right button)
3) Go to Main Picture Source (click the right button)
4) Select HDMI (click the Menu button when done)

SOURCE: the HDMI "input" ports damage output ports of connecting devices

i know this sounds stupid, but have you "toggled" or "played" with the HDMI cables? are they the same manufacturer? HDMI channel connections are very fickle. If just one connection is not exactly correct, they go to a limp, no go status. Since they run at such a minimal voltage, i can't see them "blowing" the outputs on the devices.however....if your cable has a serial type output for video only, I would connect the hdmi convertor to it and see if it works.

SOURCE: Sony PCM 48 Issue

As long as you continue to have both HDMI and optical outputs connected at same time from the cable box, it will probably always choose the default as HDMI. If you do not want to change any connections then the best thing to do in this case is to always leave the cable box turned on. Otherwise, disconnect the HDMI and connect it to the TV by component video.

Hi Guys, I have a skyworth UHD 55” smart tv, the screen is blue, no sound no picture. How can I fix this?

Can you select menu options and they appear on the screen?, if so check the input option isn't set to AV input or Video, and check all inputs that you have connected to your TV such as satellite box, cable TV box or TV antenna.
Check that it is not set to view a usb when a usb stick is not present.

How do i set up my LG43uh620v smart 4ktv for sattelite reception.i have a sattelite dish ariel plugged in?

Easiest way would be use the HDMI output from your Satellite Receiver box to your new TV. If you don't have a Satellite Receiver box at that location, you'll need to get one from your service provider.

Your TV will not interface directly with the dish - you need the equivalent of a cable box to decode the signals from the dish, select channels, etc.

Digital tv recorder

No, I don't think that is the issue... I don't think a TV exists that is incapable of decoding an analogue signal. We need more information about how your TV is connected... do you have cable or satellite? Do you use a cable or satellite "box"? How is your cable/satellite (if you have) box connected to your TV?

My blu ray and regular DVD player have sound coming through the tv, but the tv itself on a regular chanel like ESPN, there is no sound. This is a Mitsubishi 73" DLP.

You have completed the proper troubleshooting, and by process of elimination you have determined that there is nothing wrong with your television's sound. The problem lies in cable. The next troubleshooting steps depend upon how you receive your cable channels. If you have a cable box (or a satellite receiver) you may just need to unplug it for 30 seconds to reboot it (or follow the instructions from a cable/satellite company representative on how to properly reboot your particular cable box/satellite receiver model). Also commonly the cable box/satellite receiver is not set to output audio properly. If you are connecting it to the television with an hdmi cable the audio output must be set to hdmi. Also there may be a setting pcm or bitstream. The cable box audio setting normally would have to be changed to pcm.The problem may be with the cable box/satellite receiver itself needing to be replaced or the cable cord connecting it to the television may need to be replaced. It is less likely that the television has a setting the one source input the cable box/satellite receiver is connected to that would affect the sound but confirm that there is or isn't. Last there may be something wrong with the source input you have the cable box/satellite tv receiver connected to.

If you do not have a cable box/satellite tv receiver then rescan your channels, try a different cable cord, and check with the cable company to make sure there is no internal issue at the moment.

How do you change the 480i to the 720p using the remote

That isn't how resolution works. The resolution is changed in the cable box or satellite tv receiver. The television automatically displays the resolution once it has been changed on the cable box or satellite tv receiver. If you are on input tv on the Sharp television then it will not display any other resolution besides 480i if you have a cable box or satellite tv receiver. If you are not connected to a cable box or satellite tv receiver and you are on input tv then the resolution will differ from channel to channel.

I don't have the remote, the picture in the TV does not cover the entire screen, it shows about 4to6 inches of emptyness at each side, what can I do to make the picture cover the hole screen?

To adjust the picture size on the television itself you would need a Sharp remote because there is a view mode button on it but there may be another way. If you are connecting a cable box or satellite tv receiver box to this television that remote should have an hd zoom # button or format button or aspect button that would adjust the picture size. The tv would have to be in the right input and the cable box or satellite tv receiver box would have to be set to the proper resolution according to what this tv is supposed to be able to display.

I have Dish sattelite and it won't work with memorex under cabinet. They said I need a cable box in between the dish receiver and the tv. Why is this?

You need a receiver for each TV you want to receive the reception on. Your dish receives the broadcast signal from the network and your receiver decodes and recodes the signal to view on your TV. The companies have created their own proprietary equipment to accomplish this to keep anyone and everyone from simply installing their own dish and receiving all of their broadcast channels for FREE. In the olden days when satellite and cable TV was new, that is exactly what people did. Remember those gigantic dishes some people installed in their yards? They would intercept the signals coming from the satellites and hook up directly to their TVs. The companies got smart and started to scramble the signals going up to the satellites to make these home owner dishes obsolete. Because the signals are scrambled, you now need a receiver to un-scramble the signal. I hope this helps and good luck. Please remember to vote d368a18.jpg if you found this helpful. Thanks.

Digital optical output for technics 5.1 surround sound receiver

I went to the HDTV plasma manual. It stated the only way the digital optical audio output would work (from this TV) was to go to the menu, select audio and turn off the TV speakers. Basically, it had nothing to do with the technics receiver.
