SOURCE: Need to change door from left hand to right hand open on kenmore HE2
I am looking for the same answer on the washer. You can definitly change the dryer. The holes are on the other side under black tape.
SOURCE: we cant get the door opened
Unplug the the machine for a couple of minutes. This should unlock the door. If not, you should remove the lower panel under the door. Simply unsrews 3 hex nuts. Pull the door tab (latch) from underneath. Is there any code error displaying on your LED?

Clean the filter in the pump behind the bottom panel, but remember it's full of water,If it's on a pedestal you can take the pump loose from the mounting pull it out a little and put a small pail or bucket under it before you open the trap.if it isn't on a pedestal it's a bit more challenging unless your in a basement with a floor drain. Open it very slowly and let the water drain a little at a time don't take it all the way out or you'll be in for a flood....good luck

CCU/Touchpad/LED assembly error(f21)
This error occurs if the touchpad/DED assembly is not able to transmit/receive data to/from the central control unit (CCU)
1. Check the touchpad/LED assembly by selecting different cycles and changing the modifiers and options available to confirm the touchpad/LED is responding
2. Unplug washer or disconnect power for five minutes. this will reset the CCU, and may reactivate the commmunication if the damage isnt sever.
3. Check Wire Harness connectors to the touchpad/LED assembly and Central Control Unit (CCU)
Replace failed component.
SOURCE: Kenmore HE2 Plus Washer won't unlock
This advice is for Kenmore Elite and Whirlpool Duet model front loading washers. If you experience a problem where the door becomes jammed and will not unlock or open, here's an easy way to gain access inside your washer WITHOUT calling the repairman.
1. Remove the lower panel under the door by loosening the three screws under the bottom edge on the front of the washer. HINT: If you prop up the front feet of the washer with some small blocks of wood, this will make access to the screws much easier.
2. With the screws removed, the lower panel should drop down then come off. If the panel sticks, a light tap on either side will knock it loose.
3. Reach your hand up inside the washer behind the front casing on the right-hand side. This is where the door latch assembly is located.
4. At the bottom of the door latch assembly is a small pull tab. This is the manual release for the door. Pull the tab straight down and the door will come open.
Sometimes these doors will not unlock for whatever reason. If there are no error codes being generated, this could have just been a momentary glitch. If you see "Fdl" or "Fdu" error codes, these are usually indications of a failed door latch assembly and will require replacement.
