After pressing those two buttons randomly, sometimes the glass and the 3in1 program buttons light up together and the salt and rinse aid lights alternately flash. I am using All in 1 tablets. Then sometimes the lights will all light up in order from left to right? Now it has stopped working altogether with ALL the lights on constantly!!

hi, just found this forum after searching the web 4 a solution to my hotpoint DWF50 problem.
I came down this morning to a machine which base tray was full of water and lights 3 ECO & 4 Fast flashing.
Anyway my solution was as i had seen a hotpoint engineer do once before was to press the start/reset button trip the catch, to fool the machine into thinking the door is closed then put in a program, press start, the machine hums slightly but doesnt do anything then after removing the large filter from the tray at the bottom underneath the lower basket insert a length of wire, with a loop on the end (Tip i used a wire coat hanger from the dry cleaners) poke in ythe hole that the dirty water drains from, after a bit of poking about the pump started working and the water drained away. Tip place a hook at the other end of your wire impliment to put your finger in to stop the wire getting caught in the pump mechanisim. After wards u have to hook back the door catch to the normal position, Tip another piece of the coat hanger with a right angled piece at the end will do this. This worked for me, saved me some money esp as D & G insurance ran out 2 weeks ago.....stu
SOURCE: Flashing lights on Hotpoint FDL570 Dishwasher
I had an identical problem with the salt and rinse aid lights on the left and the drying and end lights on the right flashing shortly after switching the dishwasher on. When I pulled it out, as this was the only way to look at the pipework, I noticed a big kink in the water hose. Removing this and obviously sorting out the flow problem has resolved the issue.

Hi
Thanks for using FixYa. The first
thing that should be checked is if its draining properly as it could be that
the drain hose is clogged and needs to be cleaned. The drain pump also should
not be clogged. Also the stopcock should be opened fully and the water inlet
valve should be checked for any clogs. Also the metal
filter, impeller cover and the air gap unit should be checked. After
checking this you can reset the error as follows: turn the
rotary selector switch to "Stop/End" or press the "Start/Stop"
switch for approx. 5 secs. Then switch the appliance off and then back on
again. Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert
for further assistance.
Thanks
