Look for your model number. The issue is setting the ISS to the right channel and then setting the console to find it.

SOURCE: setting radio stations

The solution for setting the radio station on a Pioneer DEH P2000, is to tune the station you want programmed and hold down the desided channel number until the program number appears on the display.

SOURCE: my midalnd weather radio WR-100

The high pitch sound is a sign of the autooscillation of the intermediate frequency amplifier from the tuner in your radio - hardware defect. The only way to fix that is to replace the tuner and realign it. This would cost you about $100 for the part and labor.
Since you can buy a brand new unit for less than $40 it's clear what you should do.

Hello and welcome to FixYa!
As a first course of action, I strongly suggest that you remove the positive battery connector and let it sit for atleast 5mins. or more before reconnecting it. This will reset the system as well as your radio in the car.
Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!

Display station not showing outside temperature

Check battery status indicator on main weather station of remote unit. If no indication, replace battery in remote unit. If battery is good then check "channel setting" of remote unit to make sure the channel setting on remote unit matches the "channel" setting on main unit. many weather stations will take up to 3 or 4 remote units and they must use different channels to relay the remote imfo to the main weather station unit.

Will not transmit outdoor info. Batteries good- LED lights. Monitor shows indoor temp only.

There are a couple of possibilities for the failure to transmit/receive outdoor data. First, resynch the two units. This will depend on the manufacturer. For some brands, you need to take the batteries out of both the indoor and outdoor units for 10 minutes. Then put the batteries into the devices with both side by side (working inside is easier). Wait until the outdoor data is displayed. There are some weather station systems where the outdoor unit isn't weather-proof. You may need to dry the outdoor unit for several days after removing the batteries before resynching it to indoor sensor.

If the data displays properly when the outdoor unit is inside, you may have the outdoor sensor too far away from the indoor unit. (The distance will depend on the number of walls and the composition of the wall studs/siding.) Try keeping the two units closer together.

If the outdoor data isn't displayed when the two units are side by side and the reset procedure doesn't work. One device has an internal malfunction (transmitter or receiver failed). It's probably best to replace the unit. If it is under warranty, contact the manufacturer.

I hope this helps. For specific details on resetting the indoor and outdoor units to synch them, please add a comment with the make/model of your weather station.

No transmitting with Raymarine Ray45VHF

Hi,

Re your queries:
1. how to memorize channels?
The channels are pre-programmed that a channel number corresponds to a frequency setting. Ex. Ch16 is 156.800 . If for some reasons some channels are missing, perhaps your best course of action is to reset the unit to factory default, that way everything would be back to  normal. Master reset is performed by pressing the 16PLUS button while powering the radio. The LCD will display "CL" indicating that the memory has been cleared.
If you  want to memorize a certain channel/frequency, you can only store it as a replacement for 16PLUS assignment. Ex. Instead of Ch16 as your priority/emergency channel you want say Ch14 (156.700), you can do this by pressing the up/down key till your desired channel; press & hold the 16PLUS key for 3 seconds or until you hear the confirmation beep that your desired channel has been memorized in the memory as the new 16PLUS.

2. Why I cannot transmit?
There could be 2 possible reasons:
2.1 You are transmitting on a channel that has been assigned as receive only. Examples are the weather channels, Channels 1,2,3,  also 70,75,76, and possibly others.
2.2 Your TX module/circuitry has a problem. More often it is the finals that gets burned.

3. When i use the PTT Channel 16 is automatically set ?
The mic has an identical 16PLUS button (similar to the radio's front panel). If you pressed the PTT switch on the side and the radio switches to Ch16 (as if you pressed the 16PLUS button on the front) then you have a wiring problem from the mic to the radio. Possibly a shorted or open connection.  It is also possible that you have a break in the small PCB (in some versions) inside the microphone.

The user's manual can provide a more detailed instruction.  It is available at the RayMarine website and the link is >
http://www.raymarine.com/SubmittedFiles/Handbooks/Legacy_Handbooks/communications/RAY45MANUAL.pdf

Hope this be of some help/idea. Post back how things turns up or should you need further information.

Good luck and kind regards.
