Question about KitchenAid KSCS25FKSS Side by Side Refrigerator
We've tried everything recommended in the troubleshooting section of the manual, but our ice maker still isn't making ice! There is ice in the maker (that hasn't dumped into the storage compartment) so I'm thinking there must be something wrong with the 'compartment full' sensor. The red light next to the on/off switch (for the icemaker) is blinking. I cleaned both the originating and sensing portions of the light beam that registers when the compartment is full, still nothing.

Thanks for your help! The owner's manual wasn't very informative...
Replace the icemaker . The laser receiver (on right side ) is supposed to blink twice then pause then twice repeatedly .Normal. Also clean the coils under fridge .

SOURCE: icemaker not working...
Hi, first , pour about 2/3 cup of water into the ice maker . If if freezes
, and dumps , replace the water valve. If it does
not dump the cubes , replace the ice maker. After
pouring the water into the ice maker , remove the bottom kick panel ,
and clean the bottom coils , of dust , lint , pet hair , etc , as this
will raise the freezer temp . An ice maker has to be 5 degrees , to
operate , correctly . If ice maker starts working , after cleaning the
coils , GREAT ! ( it does happen ) .
Take care

Either the inlet valve is stuck or the icemaker solenoid is shored.
Most likely the second one.

SOURCE: icemaker stopped working
I had this problem. Our power went out for 25 hours last week in a storm, and, voila, it's working again. My husband thinks the line in the freezer was blocked with ice; when the power went out, it thawed, and the problem solved itself. Hope yours is that easy?
