The E08 error code is a oven not heating error. You will want to check the following. 1. Disconnect power. Open the back cover. Disconnect the two harness connectors to the oven temperature sensor. Measure sensor resistance :1080O at the room temperature ? If different value, replace oven sensor. 2. Check the broil, bake and convection heater. Check the resistance of each. 3. Check whether DLB of sub PCB, Broil, Bake and Convection heater relay are being activated 4. Check wiring harnesses between main PCB. 5. Check the resistance of oven sensor connector on main PCB. (Normal : 1080O)

I'm not an expert, and I'm reading you're post while looking for a solution for our oven, so this is in no way should be taken as a suggested solution, it isn't!!!....here it is anyway: I think it might be a bad ignitor, I have replaced a couple on our stove and both times we had exactly the same symptoms you're experiencing, I think also we're in line for a third ignitor for this "less then 10 year old Magic Chef". Good luck

yep replace the bottom ignightor take out the rackes remove the two bott screws in the oven remove the bottom plate and just keep going down
SOURCE: oven produces soot when running, broiler ok, stove top ok
Al, you need to seat the needle valve on the bake. Remove the bottom drawer, right below the bake burner you will see the nut just below the air shutter adjustment. Turn this nut clockwise a few times, it might seem hard but just do it. Then try the bake again, you should have a nice bluel flame. Tenbears.

We replaced the igniter which I bought from the appliance repair service. We now have a working oven.
Thankyou for responding to my email.

Most cases Broiler ignitor is out, after you turn on the Broiler, check the voltage on Broiler ignitor 2 wires, if you have approx. 110v, then change the ignitor, but you don't have 110v, then check Broiler safety valve and oven thermostat, but 90% of the time is the Broiler ignitor. Have fun.
