ViviCam 2.1 Mega Pixel Digital Camera...broken battery door

My Vivitar Camera door covering the batteries won't stay closed...therefore the batteries don't make contact and I have to hold the door closed with tape, which is a pain. Do I have to buy a brand new camera or can I have this problem fixed...if so how and where do I take it to have the work done. Thank you.

Just get the battery cover fix by taking your camera down to a camera shop like jessops. there is no need to get a new camera.

Battery door won't stay closed on Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-S90 Digital Camera

The battery door latch is most likely damaged/broken. Try using a piece of duct tape to keep it closed. I've done this on several cameras with battery door latch issues & the doors stayed shut just fine.

Will not display picture on i inch screen

The problem was the lens slide cover. It was making the required connection when slided the open the lens. It was intermitted. So I purchased a new camera for $79 bucks!

I went from a 3.3 mega pixel to 10 mega pixel.

Thanks for your help!

Camera will not turn on

This happened to me and I took it into a dealer and he simply taped the battery door closed very firmly so that the batteries made contact. They are not making contact now. I thought it was sort of weird, but he said a new battery door would cost as much as a new camera!
