Hi ya,
The beeping is an error code. So any of the lights come on while it beeps? If they do, they mean something. See if there is tech sheet attached to the unit and it will guide you through the troubleshooting process.

SOURCE: whirlpool wtw6200 cabrio washer error message f 51

I work for an appliance repair company and I had a recent service call for the same exact situation on this washer. I also know that Rotary Position Sensor is linked to the F-51 error code. I have found that this is not always the case. On this paticular call the F-51 error code was caused by a piece of clothing (sock, wash cloth, etc.) being stuck or jammed between the internal basket and the outer tub. I removed the cloth and the washer ran fine, so give that a check first before you spend the money.

SOURCE: keep getting LD error code on whirlpool cabrio washer

Is there water in the bottom of the tub? If yes then open back of washer and remove drain pump (on left side) and pull off of tub and clear whatever is blocking its impeller.
If the water is all gone and drained but pump stays on for several minutes and then gives "LD" fault then open back and check the small clear tube that is attached to the tub. Make sure is not blocked with debris and check tube and tub for anything that could block the small clear tube. If these are ok then remove 3 screws in back of the control panel, pull open control panel and check the clear tub all the way up from the tub to the washer controller board (computer) make sure it is not kinked or disconnected. If not then the problem is most likely the pressure sensor on the (computer). This unit will have to be replaced.
You can test the sensor by doing the following: 1. When the "LD" fault comes on start by pressing the pause button. then pull the clear tube off of the computer board. Then attach a tight fitting drinking straw over the sensor. Press the start button and wait for 60 seconds - If the washer does not start the spin cycle on its own after the 60 seconds then **** on the drinking straw that you attached to the pressure sensor earlier. The sucking action should reset the sensor thus telling the computer that the water is drained and it will start the spin cycle. Just remember if you have to do this to get the washer to spin - that means the sensor is damaged most likely from moisture traveling up the tube over time. The computer board will need to be replaced. I believe it costs $205 without shipping. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: whirlpool cabrio washer showing F51 error code

Hi Craig,

Just saw this post come up among F51 error codes (as it will show previously posted and answered questions ) and wanted to add some info I have regarding this exact issue you may or may not already have, no harm in posting either way.

The F51 typically indicates a failed "RPS" has been detecected...but it can be the result of other issues...just for future reference and if anyone has not come accross this before.

The scenario you describe is usually associated with a item stuck under the tub or a loose stator or a faulty "RPS" device or connection at the "RPS"...but I don't know if you checked that yet or if you know how, thus the error F51.

**The repair tip below is directly from Whirlpool**

F51 is usually associated with the rotor and stator/RPS assembly and quiet often it is initiated due to a loose rotor or bad RPS...I'd start by checking the bolt.

There is a repair tip regarding this which suggest checking the wires to the RPS and then the rotor, while insuring the center bolt is really tight via applying some "lock tight".

I actually see a lot of these and most times it's a loose rotor bolt, that is where I always start my diagnosis. Here's an exert from my files directly from Whirlpool...

You may want to check the rotor, I've seen the center bolt become extremely loose, thus causing the F51 error, this is where and what to look for shown below...

...but either way that should help out with the repairs and good luck.

Regards,

Macmarkus :)

Cabrio washer f2 error code beeps won't start load

Long drain remove the bottom behind that that is a white tube under tube which has a knob for removal it is connected to the drain pump by a black tube you should get water out of this this is called the drain screen after you remove the screen look up into drain hose to make sure no other debris is inside also stick your finger where the tube leads to the drain pump and rotate the impeller if so good if not you'll have to separate the pump housing from the motor not hard reassemble everything should be good to go very seldom does the pump motor go bad.

My washer beeps and says "F1", I press STOP and START. "F1" appears again and I press STOP and START and then works. WHat does this mean?

Hi,

The "F1" error code on the Whirlpool cabrio is quite common, and generally has to do with the control board. Replacing the control panel may resolve this issue. However, I believe Whirlpool is aware of the F1 issue with the Cabrio, and is fixing some machines for free. Please call 1-800-253-1301 for more details and see if you are eligible for a free repair.

Thank you !!

Whirlpool cabrio washing machine

FL error code generally means 'flood condition' which is telling you the machine is overfilling with water with water.

Try pressing STOP/CANCEL to clear the display.

If the condition persists the water fill valve or sensor may be faulty and may need replacement.
