Your shifter cable is most likely almost out of adjustment. What I think your issue is .... Your shifter cable has stretched so neutral on your shifter isn't actually neutral on your motor. There is a safety system built into every boat motor that will not allow the motor to start while in gear ( think early cartoons of the guy flying over the back when he fires up his boat) if that switch is even slightly out of position then your motor will not even send a signal to the starter. Try resetting the cable to its proper position. Next check that ground wire on the motor and make sure it's tight.... The cables maybe moving the ground wire around.

Check to ensure fuel pump fuse hasn't burned out. Try spraying starting fluid directly into the throttle body to see if it tries to catch.

How to replace 1989 camaro trunk lock

You will have to access the lock mec from the inside of the trunk. By removing the trim panels to access it. Or if the lock mec is not destroyed like someone has to to break into it. You can have a locksmith rekey the tumblers to match your existing door key. Hope this helps.

I have a 1989 Honda Accord LX automatic trans. When you start the car the rpm go up to 3000, generally once the car heats up you can tap the accelerator and the rpms will come down, but this is not working...

the idle surges if this is the case take out the air intake tube that leads to the throttle body, get a can of carburetor fluid and spray around the throttle body. You will need someone to start the car and hold the gas peddle to 2500 rpm while you do this the car will shut of when you do this, restart the car and repeat the process until half of the can is used up. Now check your antifreeze level fill if needed.

My throttle position markings have worn off. Is start position to the front or rear? It cranks in both but quickly dies.

Usually if you push the lever forward that is the start position (or choke position) once started in this position from cold start, slide back this should be fast, slide a little further back and this should be slow then all the back should stop. Have not worked on a lawn boy silver for about two years now but all are about the same, anyhow give that a go, good luck!

1989 Lincoln Mark VII Engine back misfires through throttle body

I guess my first question would be when was fuel filter changed last? Fuel pressure tested? With an 89 it may be wise to take it for a scan (EEC IV) on that year I believe. Try filter first, then fuel pressure test if that doesn't help, then scan. To start replacing sensors without any codes to tell you where to focus your attention, could cost you more in the long run. It shouldn't cost much for a quick scan for trouble codes. let us know.
