Question about Sansui Televison & Video
SOURCE: WD-52628 Mitsubishi - change inputs
We had the same problem. Luckily, we had a service contract, so it was serviced yesterday. The fix involved the service guy going through a "service menu" and resetting the TV that way. He was not "allowed" to tell me how I can access the service menu, however. I do plan to research this on the internet in case it happens in the future. It is basically a software/computer problem, and unplugging the TV isn't enough to clear it unless the TV is unplugged for "a long time." The technician said the length of time depends on the condition of your capacitors. Anyway, as a temporary fix, he showed me that you can go into the PIP mode. The device toggle for PIP apparently did still work with mine, so I was able to switch the device on the secondary picture and then switch it to primary, then toggle the PIP off. Good luck!

SOURCE: change input without remote. can be done on tv?
If you don`t have input selector on the set or in the menu you might be able to get it with the channel buttons, that would be right below channel 2 or above 125

SOURCE: Direct TV remote "tv input" button won't work with my Sony TV
I came across this looking for a similar solution for my Samsung TV, and I found the solution on ehow.com. Apparently after you program the remote for your TV you have to hold mute and select again until it flashes twice then put in 960 to make the remote control TV input too. Note you're remote should be in TV mode while you do this. It seems silly that the DirectTV guy wouldn't do this when programming the remote.

SOURCE: how do I change the input source without a remote
Hi there,
There should be a button on the narrow edge on the right side of the TV labelled INPUT. Press this button once to bring up the input menu on the TV screen, you should then be able to highlight the input from this list using the CHANNEL UP/DOWN buttons on the side of the TV. It may actually be the VOL +/- buttons to move up and down the list - I can't honestly remember so you may need to try a couple of times to get it right.
Finally I think you need to press the INPUT button again to select the highlighted input
It's best to switch the external input device on before doing this so there is a signal to the TV. It's easier to see when you have selected the correct input this way.
If you still can't select the correct input, please let me know and I will check on the exact method for switching this TV without the remote. I'm working from memory here!
Hope this helps.
Regards,
BElectric.
