Try opening your menu options and search for "updates" Usually when you set your TV for the first time it usually guides you to do this firmware update. Try acting like your are setting up your TV for the first time and maybe it will have a option for this.

I don't have service mode specifications but I do have a Samsung and looked around for how to get it in service mode some time ago because the HDMI cables somehow disconnected themselves a lot. Thought it was an electronic problem but it turned out to be a parenting problem instead SO I have never used this information and can not vouch for it. It seems that the firmware corrupted. Just do a hard reset to this TV, and check. Unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 10 minutes or so. This must make it a hard reset. If this do not help you, a firmware update should be done with the latest firmware, than it has been installed now. Do not automatically think you need to go into the service menu. I bet you 100 to 1 that you pulled out a plug or a connector somewhere OR one is not seated into the plug all the way. If the set worked with color before you messed with it, there is not a problem in the service menu. The service menu is not the fix all thing. it is there to make fine alignments and adjustments, and as a matter of fact, messing with a service menu even with the service manual is very dangerous. I have seen peeps ruin TV sets by messing around with the service menu alignments. STAY out of these alignments. they are not going to fix a problem that all of a suddenly comes up. Repair the problem in the circuit first. Good Luck
