The only paper form of instructions available with this camera are quick guide instructions which cover the very basics of using the camera.

The in depth instructions/manual are provided on CD and there is no printed version of these. You can however download instructions from this link and print as required.

According to page 57 of my copy of the A480 manual:

Press down-arrow.

Select the self-timer (the 10 inside a clockface).

Press FuncSet.

This sets the self-timer. Press the shutter halfway to focus, and fully to take the shot.
