Question about Vulcan Heating & Cooling

Open Question

Vulcan bonaire comfort control External natural gas electronic ignition 2004. ISSUE: Fan blowing only cool air continuously. Forced to kill power to stop it.

Model is one of the following. MB514E,20E or 30E. Going by mech drawing parts list. i can confirm what type of sensors i have cleaned with very fine sandpaper. flame sensor PN 5441603SP and IGNITER ELECTRODE PN 5441602SP The fault code i see is described as the following. There are x4 LED's. Sequence Left to Right. LEGEND: 1 Flame Sensor 2 Pressure switch 3 OverTemp 4 Diag. R Red G Green S Solid Colour B Blinking LED Behaviour. In order 2RS & 4GS Until i hear ignition. 2RS & 3RB Duration: split second 2RB,3RS & 4GB Duration: split second 3RS & 4GB Duration: Until it has completed blinking x4 times. 3RS Duration 4 seconds Repeat last two mentioned behaviour. in my own opinion, as a safety feature, the unit thinks that it has overheated or is about to. so kills the gas and force feeding cool air to heating components to save it from frying. Does this mean i have fault 04 if so does this mean i may have a faulty igniter or flame sensor or maybe a faulty as described in the mech drawing SWITCH OVER TEMPERATURE 120 degrees celsius. Am i correct here? Is this the over temperature cut out switch? if no one can really pinpoint which part requires replacement, can you at least, in sequence advise which parts to purchase? so then ill just try my luck. i wonder how to properly test if flame sensor, igniter, over temp etc is faulty with a multimeter. do i just perform a continuity test. I wonder what other parts can i test related to this fault im getting.

SOURCE: Burner ignites and goes out (Goodman Gas-fired furnace)

Hi,
The problem you have is water in the exhaust pipe.
Check to see if the pipe has sagged anywhere or if there is a trap in the line.
If you hear gurgling then it is definetly water....
Some times can be hard to find, even a pipe 1/4 full will cause problems. They are very sensitive to flue problems.
Make sure that the flue pipe either runs back to the furnace or out to the outside, a continuos slope either way witha high spot in the middle.
Also check the bottom drain of the blower if it has one, have had them plug and trap water also..

I hope that this will help you to solve your problem!

Thanks for using Fixya!!

SOURCE: Natural Gas, convection oven won't heat.

If the gas valve is on(no continuity) then yeah that is it, keep in mind the ignitor could be weak. I didn't notice where you replaced the ignitor and you say it is working so that means the gas valve has continuity. You need 37 ohms on that ignitor or a total amp draw of at least 3.5 to open that valve.I have a video: HERE

Bonaire Vulcan controller cct board 10 amp fuse keeps blowing

Obviously a direct short. Take pic, remove all wires, replace fuse. Wire by wire, turning power back on each time until fuse pops. When it does, there's your problem.

I have a GE freezer, model number FUF20DPARWH that blows a ground fault circuit breaker when it goes into the defrost cycle. The case is not "hot" when this occurs and it is plugged into a circuit th

Ralph, the only way to be sure of what is going on is to check the amp draw of the freezer when it is in defrost. If the amp draw is in range ( listed on model/serial tag ) you may have a GFI that is weak.. if unit does not defrost there will be an ice buildup on the lower half of the back wall... But with unit tripping GFI it probably is defrosting............ Ken Hawk

Bonaire vulcan comfort control

No it cant really be fitted as the evap system uses much larger duct and also in some cases people use a different type of duct that when running a gas heater threw it it tends to melt with the heat. Your best option would be to get new ducting that way you can size it correctly so you dont have air alance issues down the track.
