Where in Southern California can I get it recharged with freon?

Generally portable a/c units are not recharged because they do not contain a service port like a home or auto a/c unit does. At the factory they charge the unit crimp the tube then weld it closed. And no one can service freon unless then can vacuum recover it.

No Power

All rechargeable batteries die if left to sit uncharged for extended periods of time. If you can replace the battery, do so.

Get cool at the beginning but then it starts blowing hot air. Is the a way to recharge the AC or what can i do to get it cool again

Check the thermostat. That could be the whole problem. Otherwise, you may need to have it recharged or serviced.

Amcor 10,000BTU set at 64 degrees - - temperature of air coming out of unit is 72 degrees. In one and half hour set at 64 degrees the room temp only went from 90 degrees to 84 degrees. Recommendations?...

I am not sure, i have a similiar unit that is brand new, seems like a faulty mechanism from the maker, it starts cold for about 2-3 minutes and then shuts down condenser and blows hot air repeating this cycle. I don't believe it ias a recharge, just a faulty machine

Can my portable unit be recharged?

It has to be done by licensed technician. Gas must be reclaimed and requires a special set-up with gauges to measure amount going back in.

I have a big amcor portable a/c which i think isnt blowing as cold an air blast as when i first got it. can it be recharged like a car a/c?

Assuming the filter is clean then you may have to open it up and clean both the condenser coil and the expansion coil, they are probably dirty. It is a job you'll want to do outside with a garden hose. The pressure you use is a matter of experience so you don't use to much force from the hose and bend the fins on the coils. The coils need this cleaning done from time to time as it is just part of normal care.
No recharging is needed as the system is sealed and should never leak, contains no high pressure refrigerant hoses that can leak with age as does automotive air conditioning, yes our cars are made different because a lot of flexing and moving of said parts occur with an automobile.
