Believe it or not it is the norm and is more annoying in the 4 cyl --havent had it stall thought their a slush trans personally hate them also will act like slipping when trying to pass excessive revving the 6cyl happens less and the higher revving usually doesnt happen but in traffic may get the jerking also but GM constant states normal
I would get a check engine light if it wasn't normal correct?
yes if one of the solenoids or overheat or electronically shift problem pops codes i have a 12 equinox same platform as the terrain 4cl neighbors and friends have nox's and terrains 4 &6cyl average mileage is 180,000 with the same annoyance in trans GM actually states as to weight limits /towing that the vehicle will /may not move do to over weight
the OBD-II-Code-P0010-a-camshaft-position-actuator-circuit-open it can be the sensor or wire or a connection it can cause rough running --type in p0010 and pop on the sites will explain in detail also the videos show what to look for and how to repair if necessary

SOURCE: 2002 sequioa sudden stall
Often when the battery is disconnected or replaced the computer will lose it's learned idle settings. You could try letting the engine idle in park until the engine temperature comes up to normal and leave it like that for a few minutes, then put the Air con on and let it idle again for a few minutes, then switch the air con off and put it into drive. If it does not stall, let it idle in drive for 2 minutes or so, and then do the same with the Air con on. This should relearn the base idle settings and stop it from stalling on you. Before you carry out this procedure you should make sure that when you replaced the battery you didn't remove any other plugs or knocked anything that may be causing the fault. If you try this procedure and it still stall when you select drive, you will need to get a Mechanic to check the vehicle over.
Hope this helps,
Mark.
SOURCE: Ignition key turns on but car will not start
I suspect the ignition switch is malfunctioning.
SOURCE: engine shuts off/ loss of power under load
usually ignition coil will cause you this grief obd 2 scan your engine light to confirm nature of your misfire
SOURCE: jerky accelerating, late response to gas being pressed
Well for one, make sure you speed up slowly, dont HIT the accelerator. It may also be problems with your fuel filter. After you are stoped fuel stops running through the fuel pump/filter and then when you start going its starts to run through again and it cant keep up so it gets bubbles in it and doesnt move throught the filter easily hence the jerky accelerating. Good Luck
SOURCE: Check engine light intermittently flashing, car jerking.
Could be fuel or electrical related. Since you may not know the history, this may take a while.
Any amount of smoke from exhaust? White, Blue, Black?
Start with most obvious and inexpensive:
1. Fuel filer clogged (replace fuel filter).
2. Could be the ECM (Electronic Control Module). It controls the ignition spark timing.
A few other things... consider other expert solutions...

No smoke. I didn't "hit" the accelerator bad wording. I stepped on it like normal I was in a parking lot. Both times it happened the car was sitting for 15+ mins. Never had it happen while going for example at a stop sign.
Now I'm getting code p0010. We are now on our way to our cabin 3 hours to go. Is it drivable with this code?
