SOURCE: 2004 Chevy Trailblazer radio and CD player works, but no sound

if you have installed a new cd player in there then the propblem could be that your speaker wires and either touching each other or grounding them selfs out.. pull of the cd player and check to make sure all the speaker wires are covered properly and no bare wires are exposed.. if you still have a factory cd player in it then you will probably need to take it to a dealership to have it checked out..

Nothing on Radio stereo system works. The power comes on nothing plays. There is also CD jamed in the player. Where do I go from here? Emerson NR303TT serial number 61100051 CA

check to see if the cd player has a little hole next to it if it does that is a release use a paper clip to push into the hole that should get your cd out.

I have an amp powering two subs but only work with the radio and not when its in aux mode or cd mode. do i need some other conection

I am not familiar with your head unit but I know some radios can control audio options for each source. My unit has adjustments for bass treble fade sub out etc in each source like radio, dvd, cd usb etc. I would check this first. For example, my radio can have the bass set to zero while the dvd can have the bass set to 5. If this is the case for your stereo, the sub out for the different sources can still be set to off.

Could you please explain the differences between the different equalizer settings as far as bass and treble

The bass setting can be set to either boost or reduce the bass (low frrequencies. At midpoint it is considered "flat", that is it neither boostts or reduces the low frequencies.

The treble acts the same idea BUT for the high frequencies.

Both these are essentially electronic filtering techniques to seperate the highs and lows.

CD Player for 1998 Mercury Mystique

I just bought the same car recently and my son installed a cd/satellite/radio player into it with no problems. A high-end one that he took out of one of his cars. He's an audio freak that works in a high-performance car accessory shop. The only thing extra he had to install was some kind of wiring adapter to mate it with the existing factory radio harness. It only cost a few bucks. I think about $15.00. And there was no worries about wattage or anything else. Been using the player for about six-weeks now with no problems. If you remind me, I'll ask him about that wiring adapter....

No bass thru cd player

it seems like you connected the wrong remote wire to the amp.
Alpine has two remote wires.
BLUE (only) This is the pwr antenna remote wire, every time you insert a cd this remote wire, the pwr cut out.
BLUE/WHITE STRIPE This is the AMP REMOTE WIRE,THIS IS THE REMOTE WIRE THAT YOU NEED TO CONNECT TO THE AMP
LET ME KNOW IF IT WORKS
