I'm no expert on jet-skis or anything but it sounds like you may have a "water-pump" issue. In the water it bogs and cuts out..... but put a "flow" of water from a "hose" and it runs fine out the water, the flow of water surpasses the water-pump and allows flow to cool the engine. Have the cooling system pressure tested. If it holds pressure, that's a good thing. If it doesn't hold pressure, you may have a leaking head gasket. What may be happening is the crack in the head gasket could be blowing hot air into the cooling system causing it to overheat.

yes, this is the case of a failed throttle body, in which case it needs replaced, the car is getting too much fuel causing the high idle. this needs replaced asap. you could proably find a small independant honda shop that could do the work for less.

Sounds like you have an air;lock in your cooling system.Try placing a bleeder on the return hose to the heater core ........looks like a small tap
