Hi my dad bought th panasonic bread maker SD-255 WXC approx 2 months ago, he then had to go into hospital, therefore, to-date has not used the maker. he has now opened it up and is going to attempt making some bread but cannot find the manual with instructions. he is elderly so i do not know whether they were not in there when it arrived or whether he took them out and does not know where they are. can i download them for him. he bought the maker from Lakeland. thanks would the manual for the SD-YD250 be the same

I would have thought so, I have an older model than this (the 206) but it has a general manual for the instructions / recipes. They're pretty simple to use, but always put the ingredients in the order they are listed - e.g. yeast, flour, dry ingredients, then liquid. This stops the water from spoiling the yeast.

My machine is SD-255. My bread is not rising properly. I have had the machine for 2 years and am using the same brands of flour and yeast I used at the beginning. I have checked the troubleshooter...
If you've checked everything on the troubleshoot list, your machine may need to be replaced. If you want to try it here is what I recommend. Cut your salt amount in half. If it says 2 teaspoons of salt use only one teaspoon if the final loaf has been getting too small and dense. Please let me know if this makes a difference.

Evenly?
If you mean one end is a little higher than the other, this isn't unusual, though, adding more water (20-30mls) may help.

Breadmaker will not allow me to select bread type.
I have one of these and when you turn it on you just keep pressing the "menu" button until the little arrow is next to the type of bread or dough that you wish to make. It sounds as if it may be faulty.

Dough wont rise . everything else works
We perserved for 6 months and found that the drive shaft was worn out. The shaft wobbled very slightly. We baked several windowless buildings (bricks) before we found this out and bought a new shaft for under NZ$80. Hope this helps.

Cannot find out how to set timer for 3 hours for wholemeal rapid bake on machine number panasonic bread making machine sd-255/sd-254
Hi,

You can't set a timer when you also set rapid bake - the two are not compatible.

If you set it to 'Bake' without the 'Rapid' setting, THEN you can set the timer.
