Have you checked fuses?
Otherwise the control switch or thermostat may have failed.

The Oven Schamatic does not show any of these components. Please let me know where they may be located.

and its service manual are the only sources I could find for this model.
Looking through the manual I see that it also has EOC so this could also be faulty / corrupt.
My first answer above was just a generic for all standard ovens.

Hey dardem90
Is that the only thing that it does not do? Does the broiler work? Do you hear any clicking sound when you try the bake (bottom element) ? If the boiler work and you hear the clicking when you try the bake then one of the contacts on the relay may be weld stuck. If you know how to you could change the relay otherwise you have to replace the clock on the stove - Try repairclinic.com

sounds as if perhaps there has been a thermal overload(switch) tha has gone bad, refer to part number 119 on bothe the lower and upper oven for refernce , you should have continuity trough the switches.

SOURCE: Model YRBS305PDQ3... After self-cleaning lost

Hello,

Based on the important nugget of info you provided "after self cleaning" I`d suspect a tripped hi-limit thermostat. It should be located at the back wall of the oven. It will be a small disc shaped component with 2 wires going to it. Most of them on whirlpool are the non-reset-able style which means you`ll have to replace it. ( by memory I think it`s # 9759243 and around $25-$30 )

You can check it with your meter as well, ( **please unplug the unit or shut off the breaker when performing any of these suggestion`s** ) just open or closed is all you need to know, the ohm value won`t matter for this device. I don`t like to assume, but again based on your post I feel safe to assume here, you know if it`s in the open position it`s opening the circuit or in other word`s "tripped" from hi-temp. hence, not allowing power to the element`s.

Hope this answer`s your question. If not let me know and I`ll try to assist you further. If so, please rate the solution accordingly.

Thank`s for coming to "fixya" and good luck.

Here is a diagram for your oven. Look at 21 on the diagram, this is a resistor (fuse) that may have blown on your oven.

Whirlpool built in electric oven bake (bottom)heating element does not heat up only tot heats when in bake mode

CHECK FOR CRACKS IN THE BAKE ELEMENT. IF THE UNIT IS NOT HEATING THE BOTTOM, BUT THE TOP IS STILL HEATING, YOU MORE THAN LIKELY HAVE TO REPLACE THE ELEMENT. THIS IS A 220 VOLT OVEN WITH 110 VOLTS ALWAYS GOING TO THIS ELEMENT, SO TURNING OF THE BREAKER IS VITAL FOR SAFETY PURPOSES. WITH AN OHM METER, UNINSTALL THE ELEMENT AND CHECK BOTH WIRE CONNECTIONS FOR OHMS. YOU SHOULD GET SOME KIND OF READING BETWEEN 10 OHMS AND 500 OHMS. IF YOU'RE NOT AT LEAST GETTING A SOLID READING, REPLACE THIS ELEMENT.

Why the oven does not work.

You may have a bad door switch not allowing the proper 220 volts to go through.

This is a repost per instructions from FixYa I would prefer to hear from heatman101 on this please. We just reinstalled a used GE JTP13GV wall oven that was working when it was removed. Everything...

So you have voltage at the incoming side of both elements - good. If you have tested the element with an ohm meter across both terminals with both wires disconnected and have a reading of 1067 ohms you have a porblem. On a 240 volt system as an example with a 2000 watt element the resistance of the element should be 29 ohms. 1067 ohms means there a very slight circuit but when power is applied it simply will not work.

Just try that test again with the wires off the elements. It should not be over 100 ohms. If it is the elements are faulty.

Also with a voltmeter test across the terminals of the elements with wiring connected and the oven elements turned on. If you have full supply voltage across the terminals it definetely means that the elements are faulty as the full supply voltage represents a good active and neutral path.

If you test again and the continuity/resistance of the elements is good then the power isn't returning to the main neutral terminal which means that you have a faulty neutral. Sometimes the thermal cut-off switch has the neutral wired through it. With the whole of the system turned on and the wiring accessible you can use the voltmeter to trace the voltage path from the oven switch, through the elements and back to the neutral.

Heating element in Frigidaire range, model number FEFL64FSD.

Either the bake element is bad or the clock / control is bad. Element can be tested with an ohms meter

Double oven... top works great, bottom has power but will not heat. No codes showing. Have had ohm meter on it and all is functional to elements. GE Profile model # JKP56BOA1BB, older model... maybe 1999.

Do you have 220 volts to the element. If you do then you have a bad element. If you don't then it is usually your erc (electronic range control) or your oven sensor. You need to test your oven sensor for the proper ohms, (should be on your wiring schematic), replace the sensor if you don't have the right ohms rating. You can also compare the upper oven sensor rating with the lower oven sensor rating. If your sensor is good then you need to check if your erc is sending 220 volts down to the lower oven element. Again you need to look at your wiring schematic(usually found in a sleeve behind the oven control panel), to determine which terminals to test. As always you need to be sure that you know what you are doing when you are working with live voltage. If you don't know how to work on live electical products you need to call a technician. It can be very dangerous. Good Luck, Appliance Specialists
