Used dryer 74602 not heating

I got the dryer from the previous owners who claim they just used it for the last time prior to delivering it to me. They said they never had a problem with it. The hook ups are all in proper condition. My landlord hooked it up and tested it. It is not heating and the dryer is filling up with gas.
I already posted yesterday about this. But the solution given does not seem to be the problem:( Any other recommendations?

If the lower front cover comes off remove the cover and vacuum around heating element and surroundings. A lot of time there is a lot of lint build up and the heating element will stay off for safety.
once this is done you should be fine.

Another place to check is the exaust hose. Make sure it is not blocked along with the vent that leads outside. If this is blocked it will cause the dryer to go into shut down mode.

Hope this helps.

Advantum GE 120 microwave/convection oven is smoking when I try to preheat the convection part. It's 2006 model w/the house we bought in 2 mos ago. Prior owner never used that part.

When convection mode is used heater inside gets heated and as you say that the previous owner never used this mode, when ever the heater used for the first time it may produce smoke as the coating over it heats up giving smoke,no need to worry use it regularly it will work perfectly

No heat checked all vents and gas lines. don't know whats next?

A gas dryer uses a electric igniter that glows orange to light the gas burner. If the igniter does not glow orange when the dryer is started..replace it.

Dryer turns on but not producing heat

could be a bad thermostat (I think in these appliances they use a thermistor) you need to troubleshoot with a volt meter.

Hi

Things that could stop a gas dryer from heating:
- glow bar igniter, thermal fuse ( not all models ), coils on the gas valve, gas valve, thermostats, motor heat switch, timer, selector switch, sensor.

Please do rate the solution as FixYa and revert for further assistance.
