could be bad charger or time to replace the battery. lots of places sell new ipod batteries.
does it work if you leave it plugged into your computer for a few hours? if it does not then its a bad abttery.

try using a different usb cord and u can also use songbird to put songs on it

format it and see if that works.this will delete all of your songs so back them up first.if you want instructions on how to format email me at [email protected]

When you synced to a newer version of iTunes, everything was fine, until you connected the nano and
the touch, which worked fine, and then you tried the 30 GB again and it would not work, right?

Upgrade the software in the 30GB, not with your original 30GB disks, but with newer disks supplied NOW
by Apple, since iTunes went to version 8.1.1 and everything should be back in sync.

your issue could be one of 2 things.
Either your battery is becoming old and needs to be replaced or your mainboard is malfunctioning and causing the low battery signal.

If you have your music library backed up in iTunes, I would connect the iPod and restore the firmware. You can accomplish this by pressing the restore button in itunes.

If your battery is more than 2 years old, replace it and see if the problem goes away,

Bid for a faulty (with good screen) on ebay, with care they are quite easy to swap over.
If you do go this route and get in trouble, repost problem and I will endevour to assist you.

Try a soft reset by pressing and holding [VOL+] & [POWER]
whenever this happens, then try powering up again.

If this doesn't work, it could be corrupt firmware. Run the Philips Device Manager software (on the product CD). Select the Restore / Repair option and follow the on-screen prompts.

This will format the player and re-flash the firmware.

Note: ALL tracks will be deleted from the player.

whenever i turn on my philips 1gb gogear it says player problem connect to pc.
