Joewalter 68,
If the clock with batteries it must work with 9v. First check the output voltage with multi meter, of the adapter if it shows it will works, also check use correct socket then it will works. it will works.
with regards,

Why wont my roland JW 50 keyboard turn on. I have the correct adapter. Has a circuit blown or what could need replacing?

Does it have a place for batteries? If so try that. If that works then you know something is wrong with adapter, or connector. Have you made sure you have the polarity correct on the adaptor. Generally the center is positive, but not always. Do you have a miltimeter to test the voltage on the adaptor, 9 volt sounds low on a device like that. Try those an get back to post.

My Marshall MS2 amplifier is not working. I can plug it into the adapter and it will work but then i unplug it it will not work. Even with a new 9-volt battery it still wont work. Please tell me what to...

Likely the switch contact that connects the battery when you remove the adapter is not making contact. This is a common problem. The problem is right at the input power connector. Sometimes you can bend the contact to restore operation... else you have to replace the input power connector.

What polarity is the input on the ion IED04 DIGITAL DRUM STAION BY ION. I HAD TO GET A POWER ADAPTER AND DON'T WANT TO DAMAGE UNIT. THERE IS NO PICTURE TO NOTE POLARITY.

There is NO POLARITY to worry about since you MUST use an adapter that supplies 9 volts AC at around 850ma. You CANNOT use a DC adapter with this unit and have it work. Putting a DC adapter of 9 volts on it won't damage it, it just won't work.

AC output adapters are harder to find.

It just won't turn on! i've plugged it into the mains, and connected it up with my guitar and amp but the red light won't come on and won't make any noise.. i only just bought it, so have never used it so...

Make sure the adapter is the correct one. Sometimes bad ada[ters or backwards polarity ones are supplied. Try using this on a 9 volt battery. If it works, check the adapter.

MY MXR STEREO CHORUS LED LIGHT START TO FADE AFTER CONNECT WITH DC BRICK! DOES THIS MEAN MY PEDAL WILL HAVING ANY DEFECT?

I don't know what you mean by "DC Brick"...

The MXR Stereo Chorus unit requires a special 18 Volt power adapter. The common 9 volt pedal power adapters will NOT work with this device. If you have batteries in the unit, when you plug in an incorrect adapter, the unit disconnects from the batteries and the caps discharge so the light will fade.

You will need to use: ECB-004 18-volt AC Adapter Best to use the manufacture's exact device for this one.

My casaio keyboard ctk811 only works off batteries goes off when connected to the new adapter that i have bought

Many people get "universal adapters" which OFTEN will not work.

When choosing an adapter you are best to get original equipment. If you don't do that, then you MUST:

1. Match the Voltage and whether it is AC or DC output.

2. Match the polarity

3. Check that the current capability is at least what is required..

4. Match the size of BOTH the barrel AND the pin. There are MANY sizes and the wrong size will not work.

You should be using a Casio AD-5 adapter. It is a 9 volt DC adapter, It should have at least 900ma current, A 1 amp unit would be fine.

Mine now eats batteries and needs at least 4.5 volt mains adaptor to power up. It was connected to a 9 volt adaptor at one stage.

Try this link:http://www.rolandus.com/products/productdetails.php?ProductId=818 Note the info under Power Supply,Current Draw and Expected Battery Life. Compare the specs to the results you are getting. Note that "The time may vary according to usage conditions, batteries used and type of SD memory card used." Here is a link to their support:http://www.rolandus.com/products/productdetails.php?ProductId=818&tab=downloads&skip=true If you didn't use the exact adapter recommended you may have damaged the circuitry and will have to have it serviced. It is definitely not something you can do yourself unless you have equipment to work on surface mount technology. The required adapter is listed in the info at the first link.

My boss dd-3 pedal only works with a 9v battery. When I hook it up to the 9v apaptor, (a boss) it freaks out and does nothing. Can you help? Everything seems solid. the jack doesn't wiggle or anything.

You will have to test the adapter with a volt ohm meter to make sure it is putting out the proper voltage. It should be as close to 9 volts as possible. Also make sure that thehole in the plug is negative and the outside is positive. Is it the right adapter? I don't have a schematic for this model but www.schematicheaven.com has one for a DD-2. Hopefully they haven't changed too much. If you decide to repair it yourself, check the adapter first then check for a bad solder joint where the adapter plug is soldered to the circuit board. Hope this helps somewhat.
