Be sure the voltage and current you are using in India is correct for the unit. Is the power on the unit switchable?

SOURCE: Rowenta iron DW 9070 won't

Rather than try to repair it or look into it, call the dealer or take it back to him as you will invalidate your warranty if you do anything to the unit, and that is not worth it. Let the dealer worry about it.

My Rowenta DW 9280 stopped heating up. Everything else is operating normally. The indicator light showing which heat setting you're on illuminates and flashes as it normally does when heating up.

We’re u able to fix this ? I am facing similar issues after my wife forgot to shut it off and the auto shut off might have triggered but now it doesn’t Heat up even though I the light comes on

Rowenta microsteam 400

You need to follow the instructions for the iron. Rowenta make a excellent iron but it's water tank and steam chamber need to be cleaned and rinsed out, say every third use depending on how much you use it. Also, allow the iron to reach FULL TEMPRATURE before you use it.

I have a Rowenta 1700 iron. The iron has started to act up. When I plug the iron in it just flashes & does not get hot. It is like it is in the stand by mode when you leave it on & don't iron...

This is a problem with a lot of Rowenta irons. It is the auto shut off that is not working properly and the only way to fix it is to have it disassembled and the switch hardwired to be on whenever the iron it plugged in. It is a thermal metal switch and it just stops working and then the iron will not turn on and the yellow light blinks.

Iron No Longer Heats Up

Recommended solution, gently shake, did not work.

Considering the iron was at a minimum two years old, I decided to purchase another Rowenta. I found the recommended solution documented on a FAQ sheet enclosed with the new iron.

I actually own another Rowenta iron (I now have three) that has the same issue. I will send one iron, the one manufactured in Germany, to a Rowenta Service Center to see if can be repaired - it was the first Rowenta iron I purchased and it provided several good years of service.
