I'm sure the magnetron overheated and tripped the magnetron's thermal cutout.

Hello,
What this indicate is that the time of the oven will need to be reset
What you are to do to fix up this problem is to follow this instruction bellow
Press
the "Timer set" button and a timer indicator light will illuminate. If
you allow five minutes to pass while setting the timer, the light will
go off and you will have to press "Timer set" again.
Choose
the "Hour" button to select the number of time you want to set; push
the arrow up until you reach the number of time desired. Select the
"Minute" button and move the arrow up to add minutes or down to
subtract minutes. Press the "Start" button to begin the countdown to
the amount of time selected.
Press
the "Timer off" button to make the timer stop. When the time you set
has been reached, the timer will let you know with an end-of-time tone.
Most Whirlpool models will also give you a timer-finished tone every
two minutes thereafter.
thank you and thanks for using fixya.
