It sounds as if your Floodlight is just being Defiant.... ;)

Seriously, a likely culprit is the photocell circuit.
This triggers a solid-state switch when light intensity (Lumens) falls below a set threshold.
An electronics tech could test it for you.
Also ensure that sensor is not being struck by light, from another source, or via reflective surfaces nearby.

The light switch may be defective and needs replacement with a new one. The plug connection is loose or the wires that connect to the electrical outlet are loose and need to be reconnected. Just remember to turn off the power before fixing it.

Maybe two light fixtures each with photo sensors and the lights being near each other, might trigger both sensors to react to each other and turn lights on and off rapidly.

I hooked up 2 of these and they worked good for like 3 days. Now the red light lights up but the lights don't come on??

I have set all the switches to the left TEST, Low sensitivity and Dual brite OFF and this light stays on all night??

putting the switches on test bypasses all the sensors leaving the light on all the time the test selection is only there to see if the light is working

I have a 180 degree Defiant Outdoor Motion Security Light. It was working fine for 2 weeks, but now it stays on all the time. I've tried toggling it to Test and then back to 1 Minute and no change.

I am having the same problem. The manual says to avoid plugging into the same circuit as motors & fluorescent lights. Mine is on the same circuit as a freezer. I'm going to try changing the AC outlet to see if that helps. Good luck!

I have two of these and both have stopped working during darkness. They do, however, work during the twilight hours. How can I get them to work during darkness?

My motion security light keeps blowing only the left side bulb.

I assume you mean that the light bulb is failing. This can be caused by a faulty connection at the base of the lamp which causes the bulb to heat at the connection point. Remove the bulb and (with power off!) examine and clean the bulb socket.
