You asked 2 questions, really
1: what battery is bad, (the RTC coin cell is one battery that fails)
2: the main battery Lithium is bad.
one or both are bad, for sure on any PC this old.
the Q57 has a full model number that you skipped posting
matching parts for batteries , you need to tell that (the service tag tells you what you have) and unstated by you.
look here
there are no less than ,4 n the series Q5
https://support.hp.com/us-en/products/laptops/compaq-notebooks
q57-100 or 200, or 300, or 400?
let pretend you said, q57-100 (10 years old today)
then id say
are you in USA, and you say, yes, and.

no full model stated
no country stated, hard to help lacking that.
the RTC coin cell is here page 46

the CQ57-200 uses the HP battery p/n

worth more that the PC used on ebay.
ebay has it for $13

this is a battery pack made up of 6 separate batteries and what you have a indicates that one of those batteries is failing
you will need to get the new pack to fix the problem
go on line to Compaq web site spares to get a new one or search on e-bay-- battery for Compaq laptop make sure that you charger is charging before you order as well

there are 4 in the series.
hp sells parts at , partsurfer only
the cq57-200 battery is here, if you tell it the product number on the service tag correctly
here is me guessing.http://partsurfer.hp.com/Search.aspx?typ...

the tags look like
is located in the huge battery well on this compaq.

SOURCE: how to replace a compaq presario 1255 cmos battery
You have to take the case apart and find the old battery. It sounds like a large tast but you can pull it of in about 20 min.locate all the screws on the underside of the keyboard part of the laptop remove the main battery as ther may be a screw or 2 in the battery case once you are sure that you have removed all of the screws try seperating the 2 parts of the case sometimes they have clips that snap both parts together you can loosen then with a flathead if you find them by pressing inward and releasing them.once you have opened the case locate the battery and replace it .YOU CAN DO IT!
