Took a look at it myself before going back to installer.
There was a tab that was bent down stopping it from functioning the guy that installed it failed to bend it up as per instruction manual.

Take it back to store and get another one. It is damaged goods. If you cant take it back.. Follow my other posting which I am pasting into this posting.

Hi Castaway,

You must have had someting get into the Cd player and cause it to not clear the way for the Cd to enter. Mechanism runs a motor to lift the cd clamp up and pull the CD into the drive. If the mechanism has become bent from a foriegn object getting in the way, it will bend the mechanism. You need to open up the Radio housing and see if you can see where the damage is and possibly envision a repair. It may be as simple as tightening a screw. Go for it dude.

Can't install cd disk in mac mini. Won't go in.

Hi Roberta, do you have any small (or not so small for that matter) children?
Normally if a CD won't go in, then there is something else already in there - quite often a foreign object like a credit card, a Mini-CD or a biscuit!
When tyou insert your CD does it come to an abrupt stop or does it come to a soft spongey type stop? Does it make any noise?
If it's the former then there is probably something already in there.
Regardless of what happens I think you are heading towards a service centre to have it looked at.

How can I get the cd changer to stop changing non stop?

Something is out of timing. When powered up, the unit trys to get to a known state and will continue until it reaches that state. If the timing of the gears has been changed, this may not occur.

I'll try to see if I can create a set of instructions to re-time this.

Recording Errors

Hi. I did a google search to see how to fix mine. It's doing the same exact thing. I wonder if the CD's are the problem. I hadnt'had problems in the past, but I'm thinking maybe the companies are making their cds's a little different with the speed. I use the audio cdr's but I have had this problem.
