My fitbit2 band just fell off, as I was sitting on the couch! Was purchased may 2017. Warranty expired. Disappointed. Last fit bit I had fell off and I lost it. Should I not expect more use than this?

Hi Elizabeth I checked to see if it can be tracked but sadly it can't, It does have a 1 year warranty.... Apparently people loose them all the time, here's a link you might be interested in reading. Take care... http://gsupp.weebly.com/fitness.html
Any 1.5v cell will work as long as it fits into the cell compartment since all watch cells except for lithium and some rechargables are all 1.5volts. If I remember corectly I just always use 357's without an adapter but I think this adapter takes up the extra space in the cell compartment since they are a bit smaller than the original 355's.
Alternately you can buy RW-25 Adapters, they are a one time purchase, and will last a lifetime. TheSR44/357 will typically last over a year. At the
end of its life, simply replace the expired SR44/357 with a fresh one.
I know it's frustrating and I work in the industry the only thing I can suggest is to a Contact the manufacturer directly or try ebay for replacement bands? and Then rob the buckle off the new one to fit the old, so you still have the gift you gave to your husband?
Model numbers would be useful if you wanted to email me I can try and help out further? (however in australia!)
In addition to the Pin there is also a small inner "locking" collar about 2mm long that fits into the center section of each link.
I did not notice this collar at first and it fell to the ground when I removed the first link. Without this piece the Pin's will just slide through the links with no locking mechanism.
It fits neatly into the inner portion of the link directly opposite the arrow that shows the direction of removal on the band.
You can purchase just the watch face at most Fossil Store locations as well as on line at Fossil.com. They are marketed under the "watch bar" catagory. Make sure you know the the correct size of your strap in order to get a watch face that fits. Outlets have great prices on the watch bar items.
