I have a Yamaha RX-385 receiver. I want to increase the number of speakers I can use from the receiver. I am considering buying a speaker selector that says it can connect 4 sets of speakers I can run to...

This speaker selector is standard accessory equipment for home audio equipment -- just follow the instructions with the unit.

The speaker selector unit has circuitry which prevents the amp from being overloaded by connecting too many speakers in parallel to the receiver. The receiver will have to be run at a higher volume level to drive all the additional speakers at the same volume as two sets of speakers, but this will not damage the amp in so doing.

I getting noise in yamaha rx-459 please help.

I used to get noise as well. It turned out to be that one of the cables to the speakers was loose. Try tightening the cable connections to the Yamaha and to the speakers.

Hi, I have a LXT380/385. I find out haw to turn

I had the same issue here is the quote from the owners manual: To increase/decrease the volume level, press the up or down button during RX or STANDBY mode. With both radios on the same channel hold down the transmit or "PTT" button--this will put the other radio in the RX mode. While holding down this PTT or side button on one radio then you can adjust the volume on the other radio using the up or down arrows. (This is how you do it on RX mode. I'm not sure yet how to enter Standby mode.)

Left channels not working

Check out the left channel amp stages - your issue is there.
