Hello, Linda -

Do you mean the Daisy Powerline 5170 air p1zt0l? (Have to spell it that way because a Fixya.com algorithm considers the word profantiy) If so . . .

For safety and reliability reasons, I recommend you locate a gunsmith familiar with Daisy products and find out what it will cost for him or her to re-assemble the firearm.

See the manual for the 5170 here:
http://www.manualsdir.com/manuals/get?doc=557235&h=f88654bb75efc57a81315cf315cca79aeaccfd38&open=1

Look at the last column in the manual and the sections headed Repair of Powerline Air P1zt0ls and Guns in Warranty and Guns Out of Warranty.

Best wishes.

SOURCE: dryer takes three cycles to dry took apart need help put back together

Model #?
If this is a standard dryer with the idler pulley, place the pulley into the slots to the left of the motor pulley. Bring the belt through the idler so it is running on the flat side of the belt and place the belt around the motor. The idler should be placing down pressure on the belt keeping it tight. make sure there are no twists all the way around the drum or it will pop off.

Can u please ecplsin why when u put a bullet in the breavh with your fingers the bolt wont close but when u put it in the magazine it goes in and locks done fine is thst a saftey system

I think you are asking for an EXPLANATION of why, when you put a bullet in a CHAMBER with your fingers the bolt won't close but when you put the bullet in the magazine, it goes in the chamber and the bolt locks DOWN fine. Is THAT a safety system?

ANSWER:
No, it is not a safety system. I am assuming that you are speaking of a standard BOLT ACTION rifle in a centerfire caliber configuration. The extractor, located near the bolt face is why it won't close. When you put the bullet into the chamber and then try to shut the bolt, the extractor has to jump over the rim of the shell casing. When you place the bullet in the magazine and then shut the bolt, the bolt face pushes the bullet up out of the magazine allowing the rim of the case to slide between the bolt face and the extractor claw and feed into the chamber. After firing or if you simply just want to remove the bullet from the chamber, pulling the bolt rearward, the extractor claw hangs onto the rim until the case hits an extractor bar causing the shell to fly out of the rifle.
A good question.
I would suggest a firearms training session. Check with the NRA or a local gun club for help.

What is the year and value of Winchester 1890 22 short in good condition. serial # 644229

Hello, Mike -

1. I took the liberty of re-categorizing your question from Optics (binoculars, gun sights, lenses, etc.) where it landed, to Firearms.

2. I doubt most who volunteer to answer questions on Fixya.com are qualified to provide you a value for your rifle. For one thing, an appraiser would need to look and handle the rifle, which is a major challenge online. :) (Note: My now late father, a licensed auctioneer, used to sell the firearms of his friends who had passed away for their widows and I know he needed to look over all of the firearms in-person.)

3. As for the year your Winchester 1890 was manufactured, you are fortunate in that the Winchester Repeating Arms company provides a PDF document (you will need Adobe Acrobat Reader software (free) installed) listing the models of firearms and range of serial numbers and what year they were manufactured. This is the link:
http://www.winchesterguns.com/content/dam/winchester-repeating-arms/support/faq/serial-number-reference/Winchester-Manufacture-Dates-by-Year-2012-Scanned-Documents.pdf

Easier than looking through the lists on the Winchester Repeating Arms document, though, the database offered by the website for Antique Guns and Collectible Firearms and Militaria Headquaters
(home page: http://oldguns.net/ ), Winchester Dates of Manufacture:
http://oldguns.net/sn_php/winmods.htm
I think you can figure it out. :)

4. First, your local public library may hold a recent book or two listing estimated values of firearms. One title which is updated regularly is The Blue Book of Gun Values. Note: Using your local public library and its collections represents your taxpayer dollars at work!

Second, read the questions and answers about gun appraisers here:
http://forums.gunbroker.com/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=311759

Second, you can conduct a search using your favorite search engine (Google, Bing, Yahoo, DuckDuckGo, etc.) using the following search phrase:
firearms appraiser
OR
firearms appraisals

Third, the International Society of Appraisers provides a database which can be searched. This is the link:
https://www.isa-appraisers.org/find-an-appraiser
Enter the word firearms in the search box.

The American Society of Appraisers offers a similar database:
http://www.appraisers.org/find-an-appraiser
In the ASA Specialty search box (only), choose Firearms.

Personal opinion: To find an appraiser to value your rifle, I suggest you do not go to a firearms dealer, who may opt to purchase your rifle outright, since he / she may have a vested interest in the value of your rifle. Be prepared to pay a fee for an appraisal.

Best wishes.

How do i remove stuck pellets in the barrel of my gamo c 15

Hello, William -

According to the instruction manual for the Gamo C-15 Blowback firearm, you could use ". . . a 4.5mm caliber cleaning rod (.177 in) if a BB has become blocked in the barrel."

The information regarding a blocked barrel is on Page 11 of the instruction manual in the REPAIRS section.

If you do not have the instruction manual, this is the link to the PDF document (Adobe Reader software needed - free):
TinyURL link:
https://tinyurl.com/y9zwcvtk
The information is on Image 6, right side, of the PDF document.

(Quote from the instruction manual):
Repairs
A compressed air p1st0l (have to spell it that way or the Fixya algorithm reads it as a "bad word") that is not functioning well can be dangerous. Do not attempt to repair the gun yourself, since this may cause abnormalities in its functioning. Use a 4.5mm caliber cleaning rod (.177 in) if a BB has become blocked in the barrel. Take your gun to approved gunsmiths or to professional repair specialists approved for this type of product.
(End quote)

Best wishes.

What years was the marlin model 36 lever action .22 made

The Model 36 was introduced in 1936 by Marlin Firearms as an improved version of the Model 1893. Around the time of the First World War, Marlin dropped the "18" and started calling the Model 1893, the Model 93. But no significant change in the gun's design took place. In the period between the wars, metalurgy was changing, as were manufacturing techniques. So Marlin upgraded the Model 93 and re-designated it the Model 1936. This moniker lasted only one year, and in 1937 it became the Model 36.
Model 36s were made until the Second World War. In 1948, the Model 36 was redesigned and modernized again and was given a round bolt to replace the square . The model number was again changed to Model 336. Lots of versions and lots of small changes have been made since, but variations of the Model 336 are still in production.

Took slide off as gun was not locking back with empty mag putting the slide back on it won't go it goes back all the way with say 1/2 inch of frame showing the it seems some thing there is stopping it and...

What manufacturer and model is it. 1911 types can get hung up if the assembly order is not exactly as it should be, HK can be a real pain if pins were removed and re-inserted incorrectly, Glocks can bind if the slide is not aligned correctly. So it depends on what you've got...
