If you are on your own home network, you might need to set your connection back up, especially if your network was secure.
If you don't think that is the problem, the other possibility is that your laptop needs drivers installed after the restoration process. If you go to the control panel, and check system info, then device manager, if anything has a yellow exclaimation point or question mark by it,the driver needs installed.
If you don't have a driver or program disk for your laptop, they can be downloaded from the gateway website.

Your missing the file from the nt detect application on the C: drive You will need to obtain a good copy of windows or find an OS that you can work around it with. I would try using Ubuntu as a live session disk and replacing the corrupted nt detection files from a disk or website.
