My Kodak m763/m863 Will turn on for half a second flashing the "kodak easy share" screen but it will turn off again. leaving the screen blank. However, the lens is stuck open, and wont go back in at all. How do i fix this.

that is the most problem of kodak battery once you leave the battery inside of your camer awithout using for a long time. the battery life become less or easily damage.
I have a Easy Share M863 and have had it less than a year. It was working great and then last week I tried turning it on and it would not open. I thought it might be the battery needed charging so I did that. It still will not open. I contacted Kodak and they told me they would give me 15% on a new digital camera. That is not what I wanted. My camera is not even a year old. It should have lasted longer I think.
Here's what I did...Mine had the lens stuck out and would not power on. Just a green blinking for a second or two. Well, I tried twisting the lens ring closest to the camera while hitting the power button. It's kinda tricky to do...BUT, just keep at it. Mine was a $1 resale shop "find" and now it works. This worked for me. Maybe it will help you!
make sure the setting is on auto or something . check the knob at the top .
if your internal memory is full, then you need to either put the pics on the computer or delete them . get a memory card so you have more room .
try taking out the battery for a little while or charging it .
