Performing a manual power reset

LCD has a crack and does not show framed picture or video.

I'm so sorry to hear that...
Especially when I have to give this advise (Please don't shoot the messager)

Please also try to upload new firmware: I doubt that it will solve the issue, but the alternative is a trade up since this camera model is no longer repairable.

Connect the camera with the computer.
Turn the camera on.
Click onto the link and follow the instructions.

EOS 30D - blue print light then dead

When you disconnected the camera, did you use the "safely remove hardware" icon at the bottom right of your computer screen or did you just yank out the cord?

LCD Display Blank

I have a sony cybershot DSC-S650, the LCD was very dark and could not see anything except if I pointed it at a bright object, everything else worked ok. I could take pictures but could barely see them in playback as well.

I took it to Sony authorised repair outlet and was told the CCD was damaged, they charged me USD $55 to repair it (in Quito, Ecuador)

Blue lines

I have the same issue. I hook it up to my video editor and blue lines! It comes and goes... best thing that worked for me is to knock it against the desk. Not hard. I don't really like the camera. My Cannon Optura 100mc is far superior. Get one on ebay for $150.

Vivitar ViviCam 3625 Digital Camera

I believe your CCD chip has gone bad. If all other functions are working, it is definite the chip at fault. Unfortunately, the chip is not available for replacement. Also the repair cost may out weight the replacement cost.

LCD screen image is reversed

I'm not posting this as a solution but yet a story to share... I had the same problem with my Canon A510. The screen reversed itself and everything was upside down. I don't know how it happened, possibly from small impacts from everyday use, who knows. I got so fed up with it, I smacked it on my computer desk (not too hard). Now it works great!! Seriously... Something must get knocked out of place and caused it to reverse the screen? Not too sure.
