SOURCE: Set probe temperature

If i remember correctly i believe this is actually a wiring issue. you would need to turn the power off open the control panel. and look for a control board with the probe connection on it. there should be a tech sheet in the compartment to help you identify it however if it is the problem they would be purple wires on the connector that need to be reversed.

SOURCE: Oven does not heat. Broiler and stove work. NO gas smell.

could be the oven thermostat, get a plumber/heating engineer out, but make sure you can trust him, cause he could try and say u need a new cooker when it MIGHT only be a new oven thermostat.

SOURCE: My GE double electric oven

Hi

If the error code still appears, then the problem is likely in the control module (circuit board) behind the keypad and clock. You'll need to remove the bezel to get behind the control panel. Remove the screws & lift the panel up about a half inch and pivot it forward toward you. The circuit board you can now see is the Control module. Check for the black square shaped components on this board, they may be burnt or the connection might be loose. Look for welded relay contacts on bake or broil relays. If this happens, replace oven control (also called clock or ERC).
Hope this helps... If it does please do not forget to accept the solution or post back for assistance.

Range over heats and flashes error code f3-e2 Whirlpool

That is a bake range over tempature error. First try disconnecting the power to the range for more than 10 minutes and see if the error re-appears. If it does then you will need to test the tempature probe with an ohm meter. At room tempature the probe should test 1000 to 1100 ohms. If you get a reading that is out of range or different ohms than rated replace the probe. If the probe tests good then replace the control.

Get f-3 code after oven on for awhile

F3 is Open oven temperature sensor circuit, to fix this you need to read oven temperature sensor circuit at oven temperature sensor ( approx 1000 ohms at room temp); check for cut or pinched wire or loss of contact, if wirings are ok, then replace the probe.

Re.probe and bake

I had the same problem and pulled off the contorl panel and removed the ribbion looking thing. You might have to do this a few times and wiggle it a little. It took me about 4 trys to get it to stop. also you can lock the control panel and the beeping will stop...this was my temp fix until I figured out how to get the control panel off and what to do.

F2 Oven overheats

jaz3133, it's probably the temp sensor that has gone bad. You should be able to get it from the front. It's the probe that comes out from the back wall of the oven. You can have someone ohm it out. Should read approx 1100 ohms at room temp. Part number for the temp sensor is WB20K5040. Make sure power is off befor removing the sensor. Catriver..post back.
