Try sutting off the power to both units. This may reset the unit. Check out the service manual at LG website www.lgusa.com. Go to their support page and put the model number in. Remove and replace the batteries in the remote. If there is a communication error, the inside unit will display 3 flashes. If all else fails, call LG at 1-800-243-0000. Good Luck!

SOURCE: LG S36AHP-UD7 Split Air Con. won't turn on.

Generally when an ac trips the main breaker and the breaker its self isn't bad, the compressor is going bad or is bad. To check you will need to do an ohms test on the compressor. If you get a reading of less than infinite, then the compressor is bad. You will need to test every lead going to the compressor which is usually 3 unless you have a crank house heater installed but they are not typical on a small unit. If the compressor has gone bad it is possible the it took the board out as well.

SOURCE: Just installed an LG mini

Hi,
Check for 220v ACROSS the two 110v lines....if you have it on two 110v breakers instead of a two pole 220v breakers you can be feeding the same leg or the same 110v to the both sides of the connection and therefore the unit will not work...

You need to have 220v across the two hot legs or it will not work... 110v on each leg means nothing....if you have the same 110v, then more ONE of the breakers ONE notch up or down and you will have 220v then...

SOURCE: Mini Splits flashing "ch" then

CH61 means Condenser coil temp high due to non cleaning of condenser/over charged gas/non condensable gas.

Clean your condenser coil. If still problem rests, due to non condensable gas also there will be high temp. Once remove the gas, flush out the system and vacumize and then do gas charging.

LG 4 zone Mini Split error - CH35 triggered with specific Wall Mount.

These units cool better than they heat, and if the temperature ever drops far into minus 'C digits, they don't work at all.

I have found that turning off all power for a minimum of two hours will reset most errors,. When you switch the breaker back on, you will hear relays clicking as part of the self testing. Wait 15 minutes before operating the unit.

It sounds like your installer doesn't want to deal with you any longer. The engineers get very basic LG Service training, so at stages they are completely lost. I was advised not to buy LG and went with Fujitsu, but they have their own problems as it seems they all do!

Phone LG Support on Monday and ask their advice, don't let them just say call for service. Tell them you want to speak with a technician that does the training sessions and seminars.

Outside unit turns on and runs for a long time by itself then shuts off. Does this all day an night long. Notice this after a circuit breaker tripped. Not breaker to unit though. Other parts of house.

You have to try resetting the system. First turn the breaker off for the condenser and wait about 20 seconds. After you turn it back on the system should reset. If you need any other Air Conditioning Repair help. Check us out online.
