Sounds like the circulating fan(evaporator)is wearing out, this problem is very hard to diagnose because the fan will spin but not fast enough to circulate the chilled air thru the freezer and refrigerator. The parts and labor are around $300.00

the ice maker slows as the tempt in freezer gets warmer . icw cream get softer ect . ck for ice build up in back of freezer and the evap fan motor may be running to slow causing poor air flow . ck these first . mm
most likely you have a bad filter holder the part the filter connects to,next time send the model number off of the machine so whoever helps you can look up your model and send part numbers to you.
sounds like the drain line for the defrost cycle is plugged. the water is supposedto end up in a pan under the refrig. the drain probably needs to be defrosted and cleaned.located behind the back panel in the freezer compartment
the drain in the freezer is clog make sure the drain from the freezer
is clean all the way to the pan next to the compressor . you need to
open the back wall of your freezer for that ( the inside wall) clean
with buster (water pump)the drain is in the bottom middle of the freezer.
Light going out is a separate problem. If the freezer is still working and the fan in the freezer operating check for frost on the back wall. If there is frost on the back wall you have a defrost system problem. Possible open heater, bad timer, or defrost thermostat. If the freezer is not working check for power to it. Reset the breaker if necessary. If the light went out because of some power loss the freezer would not be working.
