I have a 1999 Cadillac Deville. The ac will sometimes not blow, others work fine. Cold when going, think its a fan/blower thing, the ac always comes on, but cannot get the blower to always work

SOURCE: 1999 Caddy Deville A/C problem

A/C systems are hard to diagnose without having access to the vehicle. One of the most common problems is undercharge (Not enough freon in the system) indicating a leak somewhere in the system. Other causes could be a burnt A/C compressor clutch fuse, defective compressor clutch, defective compressor/belt, defective High/Low pressure switches in the system, defective evaporator icing switch, defective wiring... Basically, you're better off getting the system diagnosed by a good A/C knowledgeable mechanic...

SOURCE: 92 cAdillac sedan deville problems after cd player installation

You probably could but your gonna spend ALOT of money, what I would do is un install the cd player and check the wires.Undo everything you did back to the way it was before. Sounds to me like you have crossed wired or grounded something. If this fixes your problem take it to a car stereo place that installs radios and pay them to install your CD player.

SOURCE: 1999 cadillac deville air wont work

There's a blower motor (fan) under the hood and up against the firewall near the center of the car that takes some work to remove. It has gone out in the last 2 of my 4 Cadillacs. Turns out if you're not real careful with the positioning of the spark plug wires they will brush up against it, and if one of them gets cracked or brittle it will "arc" and short out the blower motor. The a/c compressor should still come on (you'll hear a click when it engages) but you won't get any air blowing into the cabin, hot or cold.

The part was like $200 stock (year 2000 prices) and it took about an hour to remove it. My Caddy at that time had this damn strut bar going across the engine bay which we eventually removed to get to the blower motor.

SOURCE: Cold AC but weak Airflow---Also Driver side not as cold as passenger

The air doors are controlled by actuators that on of them or so may need replacing.

SOURCE: Blower fan does not shut off and AC does not blow cold on MAX

It seems the AC switch is faulty maybe it doesn't contact the compressor wire on the MAX.
Check the switch.

AC blower will not turn off on 1999 Cadillac Deville?

Are you sure it is the AC blower? a lot of modern cars have a temperature controlled radiator fan, this can run when the engine is very hot , even when the keys are removed. It is a safety feature to protect your engine.

MY 1999 CAD WITH 52,000 MILES HASC DEVELOPED A PROBLEM, THE FAN DOES NOT BLOW COLD OR HOT. COMPRESSOR IS FINE FREON IS GOOD, FUSES ARE GOOD AC RELAY IS GOOD. IS THIS A FAN PROJECT, HAS IT BURNED OUT. ALL...

If you have an electric display ATC type control there is a blower switch which controls only the blower whether its on heat or cool. On my Ford system it was under the hood in the duct work on the opposite end of the blower. Your system is probably electronic and if you replace this part it may work, mine did. You might want to go to a salvage yard and reclaim one from a wreck. You will learn where the part is and how hard it is to remove before you work on your car.

A/c and blower same???

yes the A/c fan and Blower are the same thing. If your Compressor is kicking in but your not getting it to blow at all it could just be your fan switch. I hope this helps you out and please rate my solution.
Thank you
