It may need to see a Positive....not a ground (the brake wire rests at ground and goes positive when the pedal is pressed). but to answer your question, the brake wire for your car is Light Green and is at the brake switch above the pedal.

You first have to figure out which one of these wires goes to ground potential when the brake is engaged. Get a digital multimeter set it to read resistance (turn the dial to the omega symbol)and then connect one end to ground of the car try the outer ring of the 12 cigarette lighter and the other using the tip to pierce the insulation of one of the wires, then press the parking brake. The meter with the brake not pressed should have ---- when the break is pressed the meter should read 0000 or some value less then 1.000 ohm. The wire that goes to ground when the brake is pressed is the parking break wire and attach your DVD player brake wire to that. My money is on the solid green wire.
SOURCE: car radio gets hot
There is a lot of heat generated and not a lot of ventilation so the answer to your question is yes, they all get hot. Now the question is what is too hot? Certainly we don't want it so hot as to roast marshmallows on or to melt anything or even WITHOUT TOUCHING IT too hot to touch. If it truly gets that hot there may be some trouble with the speaker or power wiring that is making it work too hard.
SOURCE: were do you connect the pink wire of a jensen
it is supposed to be connected to the parking brake wire of your car. it is designed to be a safety feature to not allow you to view video while driving. you can bypass this feature through the setup menu.
you will need the remote control to do so.
1.turn the radio on and select the setup menu.
2. while in the setup menu, use the remote and press 5-4-3-2-1-0, this should access another service menu.
3. from there, you will see a brake override option.
4. and your done.. hope this helps
