Nokia 9500 network signal is not working

If the 9500 cannot communicate via WLAN but is getting a connection - do the following:

1 - set up a new Internet Access Point in control panel
2 - use the SSID (WLAN Name) to identify the network
3 - set 'Automatic IP address' to NO (Advanced Settings)
4 - give the device an IP address from the range being used on that network
5 - set 'Automatic DNS' to NO
6 - enter a pair of DNS server IP addresses (from your ISP)
7 - back up the phone settings so you never have to do this again

NOKIA 9500 Communicator "System Lock Code"

To my knowledge there is no way to ger our of rhis mire, other taking a new SIM card with same telephone number from your service provider and insist to give the puk number and many a time they avoid giving this information, But in my opinin they are duty bound to give this number when we are taking sim card. What happens is when we enter wrong security code twice or thrice the phone asks for PUK number. When we fail at this also the phone gets permanantly blocked after which nothing can be done other than what is out lined above, We lose every thing we entered into old sim card.
