In Birmingham, England, you may need planning permission for a garage conversion depending on the specific circumstances of your project. Here are some things to consider:

  1. Permitted Development: If the garage is attached to your house and you are not extending the overall size of the property, you may be able to carry out the conversion under permitted development rights. This means that you would not need planning permission, but you may need to adhere to certain restrictions and conditions.
  1. Conservation Areas: If your property is located in a conservation area, you may need planning permission for a garage conversion, even if it falls under permitted development. This is because the rules for permitted development may be stricter in these areas.
  1. Listed Buildings: If your property is a listed building, you will likely need planning permission for any changes or alterations, including a garage conversion.
  2. Building Regulations: Even if you don't need planning permission for your garage conversion, you will still need to comply with building regulations. This ensures that the work is carried out safely and meets certain standards.
It's always a good idea to consult with a planning consultant or the local planning authority to determine if planning permission is required for your garage conversion project in Birmingham. They can advise you on the specific requirements and restrictions that apply to your property and help you through the planning process if needed. Better to contact loft conversion companies in London.

According to http://www.tcleonard.co.uk/design-and-planning.htm , most loft and garage conversions in Birmingham don't need planning permission and haven't since 2008 when planning laws in the UK were relaxed. Conversions like these class as 'permitted development' and are therefore only subject to regular building regulations. In terms of building regulations, architectural drawings and designs will have to be approved by Birmingham city council and a relevant local authority worker will then inspect the construction at regular stages to ensure the design is going ahead according to specification.

Is it hard to get planning permission for a home extension?

First, it's worth noting that - at least here in the UK, and I believe in many other areas of the world - you are allowed to make small expansions without getting planning permission.

The rules are quite strict on how far you can expand without permission and what is and aren't allowed, but if you have a small project in mind, it's a good idea to give those rules a read. You may not need planning permission to begin with.

As for how hard it is to get planning permission, that depends on how complex the expansion is and - more importantly - on what is around your house. You may not be able to expand at all in some areas, or you may be asked to meet some strict requirements. For example, if you're building near other people's houses, sound testing may be needed to show that the new area has adequate soundproofing, as the Focus 360 Energy website explains.

Where is the glow plug relay located on a Kubota M6040 with Cab?

Open the engine cover and there's a black box on the firewall with a smaller black box tucked in next to it.The smaller box contains the glow plug/charge circuit protector. There doesn't appear to be a specific relay for it but I did find a schematic to all the fuse and protector locations -

How much does it cost to build a hazard or bonus building once you actually land on a planning permission tile?

It costs nothing if you land on the planning permission tile. To clarify, each turn (assuming you don't land on the tile) you have the option of spending $1M per move to move an existing one 1-2 spaces; but, if you *do* land on the tile it's free.
